TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016

Have you commanded your angels today?

For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Psalm 91:11-12 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
It’s time we set the record straight about angels. Angels are not kid stuff, they’re not cute little fat babies with long blonde hair and bows and arrows in their hands. They are not those of our family that have gone on to heaven before us. Human beings do NOT become angels when the go to heaven, we are already ‘saints’ here on earth in daddy’s eyes once we become a Christian! Angels are a separate created being, a creation of God the Father just as we are, but they are a separate creation. They are real, they are big, they are powerful, and they are God’s messengers and His warriors! They are also spirit beings like God. That’s not what I say they are, that is what God’s Word says about them and we need to set the record straight about who they are. And, if you are a believer, they are a vital part of your life. They are available to us for our protection and to do our bidding, as long as it’s in line with God’s Word. (“But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they (the angels) not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation (believers)?” (Heb 1:13-14 KJV) ) Are you born again, are you a believer in Jesus Christ, if you are then you have angels at the ready, waiting for you to beckon them to do something. I think it’s time we start calling on them to assist us in the things of God. They are standing by at the ready, but can not do anything until you tell them what to do! I use them on a regular basis. They have always came through when my requests lined up with God’s Word! I have seen them work on my behalf more than once, after I commanded them into action. They can not do anything for you until you command them in line with God’s Word!

MY PRAYER…
Lord I thank You that You have given Your angels charge over me, that they keep me in all thine ways. I thank You that I can speak forth Your Word and the angels of heaven will go forth to harken unto that word and make it happen. Lord I thank You that when I am weak You are strong and Your angels will come and minister to and for me. Help me to understand the true meaning of Your Word, Your Covenant, and Your Promises. Help me Father to use those tools, including Your angels, that You have given me to use in this life. In Jesus mighty name, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday, Nov 19, 2016

Where are your spiritual eyes fixed?

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S MANNA:
Have you ever heard the statement: “You drive where you look!”? It is true that whatever you fix your attention on is going to be the direction in which you go, either in the natural or in the spiritual. That’s true of all of us. We live and act like where we look, meaning where we spend our time watching, looking, and listening is going to affect the way we live. That’s why it’s important to fix our eyes on Jesus, not the six o’clock news! I don’t mean you can’t watch the news, only don’t become fixated on it. Forget or at least put aside this world and fix ourselves on Jesus. Who He is, what He has done for us, who we are in Him, what He means to us, and where He is taking us. Remember, if you are born again, you are seated with Jesus at the right hand of the Throne of God! I didn’t say that, the Bible did.

MY PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Almighty Father God, without Your grace and the gift of Your salvation, through Jesus, I could not approach You with confidence and truthfully I would not be able to. Thank You for sending Jesus to be my substitute, to take and bear the punishment I was due! Thank You for His life, His death, His burial, His resurrection, His exaltation and His intercession at Your right hand for me. I pledge this day to keep my eyes on Him! I pledge to live by Faith, not by what I see in this world. Father, I ask You by the power of Your Holy Spirit to enable me to keep my eyes and my heart fixed on Jesus.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Friday, Nov. 18, 2016

Are you compassionate, courteous, & loving to one another?

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; Not returning evil for evil, or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
1 Peter 3:8-9 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
We have been commanded by God’s Word to be compassionate, courteous, loving and a blessing to our brothers. God wants us to live together in harmony and peace, to give forth the ‘Agape’ (God’s kind of love) love just as HE has called us to do. He does not want us to be like the world and get even with people when they are evil to us, but rather we are to bless them. In fact He has told us to set a table before our enemies. To pray for our enemies. If we will do so He says we shall inherit a blessing. Can you imagine the world inviting their enemies for dinner!

MY PRAYER…
Father, thank You for providing us Your Word as our Guide in our life. Our ‘Manual For Life’ is Your Word. Father, I confess that I have let my own over-sensitive carnal self be offended, and have often reacted with pettiness when my brothers and sisters in Christ have not treated me as I felt I deserved. I have let those world offend me at times. I know Jesus was treated rudely and shamefully by those he created and loved, so I know I shouldn’t be surprised. But Father, please help me to know when to challenge those who wound me with a loving confrontation and when to just ignore the barb and minister love to them. Father, help me be an instrument of Your love, peace, harmony, and unity. In Jesus’ precious name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Thursday, Nov 17, 2016

God will not forget what you have done in His name

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Hebrews 6:10 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
So much assurance in such a short verse! God is not unjust — that is definitely an understatement. If He produced the redeeming, atoning sacrifice for our sins, while we were yet sinners, what will He deny us if we seek diligently after Him now as His Children? He will not forget our work and our love — an eternal record of the ministering unto Him and for Him that we have done! When we help our brothers and sisters in Christ, we bless Him! When we minister to those that don’t know Him, we do His will and His work. We are all HIS people!

MY PRAYER…
Most Holy Father God, I give You praise and glory and thanks giving forever. Father I thank You for Your covenant promises made to us through Your Son Jesus. I know that You are not a man that should lie and that what You have promised in Your Word must be true. Father, You are so gracious. Words cannot express my joy at hearing such a simple and profound statement describing Your virtues. I am so glad I am now Your child. That You have given me all things that pertain unto life and Godliness. In Jesus mighty name, I give You praise and glory forever.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016

Do you participate in God’s Divine nature?

He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2 Peter 1:4 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
God made us to be like Him in character and holiness. Did you get the meaning of the verse? Do you understand what it means to participate in the Divine Nature? Is there sickness and disease in God or Heaven? Is God poor? We are called to participate in the divine nature and we are assured that we will be made ready when Jesus comes again. His promise is sure if we will obey and keep His Word. But, the choice is ours. We can choose to be partakers of the promises of God and share in the inheritance of the children of God and His Divine Nature while we are still here on Earth (Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Matt 6:10) or we can partake of the world and the curses found there. We can NOT do and have both, we must choose! The choice is ours, but the promises come with a stipulation. We must choose to harken to the voice of the Lord our God and obey His commandments (See Matt 22:35-40 for what these commandments are). Will you partake? His will is this: “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” (Deu 30:19 KJV)

MY PRAYER…
Almighty God, my Everlasting Fortress, my Shield and my Buckler, I thank You for giving me Your great promises. I long to know You more fully and be able to see You face to face someday. Thank You for protecting me and my heart from corruption. Thank You for sending Your Son to be my shield and my strength. Thank you for sending Your Holy Spirit to be my Helper and my Counselor. Lord, I fully intend to walk in Your promises, to share in my inheritance, and to partake of Your divine nature here on this earth, just as Your Word says. In His mighty and precious name, Jesus, I pray. Thank You Lord.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Tuesday Nov. 15, 2016

Are all your needs met today? If not, why not?

Ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss. – James 4:2-3 KJV

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
According to the Word of God, it’s either because you’re not praying about them at all or because when you do pray, you’re praying wrong. What does it mean to pray wrong? In many cases it simply means to pray without expecting results. Many believers do that, you know. They use prayer as a kind of spiritual wishbone. They just play around with it. This probably won’t do much good, they think, but who knows? It won’t hurt to give it a try. If that’s been your attitude, then change it! Start getting serious about prayer. Stop praying just because it’s proper. Stop praying just because you always pray at this point in the church service. And start praying to get results. Start praying in the Name of Jesus, according to the Word of God, and expect to receive what you ask for every single time. Isn’t that a little presumptuous? No, but it is bold, and you have a scriptural right to be bold. According to the Word of God, you have a standing invitation from your heavenly Father to “come boldly unto the throne of grace, that [you] may obtain” (Hebrews 4:16). That word obtain is a word of certainty. The dictionary says it means “to get possession of.” So pray, expecting to get possession of what you need, not just once in a while, but every time! When prayers do go unanswered, don’t just wander away saying, “I guess you never know what God’s going to do.” Tackle the problem with both hands! First, are you tithing? If not you are in disobedience to God’s Word. Go to God in prayer and in the Word and find out where you missed it and get the problem corrected. When you go to God in accurate, Word of God-based, Spirit-inspired prayer, you do know what He’s going to do. He’s going to answer you. He’s going to meet your need exactly as you asked Him. Start expecting Him to do it today.

By Kenneth Copeland

MY PRAYER…
Almighty and awesome God, do in our day what You did in days past. You said in your Word that You change not, that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. You gave us faith to believe and then You are amazed at the smallness of our faith. Give us vision to see Your plan, to have greater Faith, and to do greater things. We ask this, not for ourselves or our experience, but for a sign to Your people so that the harvest will be large and that Your glory will be great and for the salvation of the world. In Jesus’ name.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Monday, Nov. 14, 2016

To Tithe or not To Tithe, that is NOT a question!

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, (Your Local Church)
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the LORD of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven (one translation says floodgates of heaven)
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.
“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,
Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,”
Says the LORD of hosts;

Malachi 3:10-11 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
To Tithe or not To Tithe, that is NOT a question. The scripture is very clear about what we are to do. And don’t use the excuse “That’s Old Testament, it doesn’t apply today.” Wrong answer – God never changes!
Tithing, you mean we’re really supposed to do that? No, We GET to do that, we have a choice. God won’t make you do anything you don’t want to do. But, if you’re not tithing you are NOT doing God’s Word, if you are not doing God’s Word you can NOT expect to get anything from Him. And God said “You are cursed with a curse!” Tithing should always be done with a willing heart and cheerful heart, not because you have to. What is a tithe you ask? It is a tenth or 10% of your first fruits. In other words to make it easy for, when you get your check the first thing you should do is put aside your tithe. It’s easy take the check amount, let’s say it is $1,534.20 your tithe is 10% of that. Just pick up the decimal point and move it one place to the left, $153.42 that’s your tithe and that is supposed to come out first for God before you do anything else with the money, it is His. God even says to test or prove Him by bringing your tithes into His storehouse (your local church where you are a member and are pastored. You are a member of a local church somewhere right? That’s in His word also!) and see if He won’t open the windows of heaven and pour out more blessings than you can contain. The Hebrew word translated here as windows (‘arubbah) could also have been translated as a sluice gate (an opening for water or better yet a dam). He wants to flood you with blessings…will you let Him? And that’s not all, He says He’ll rebuke the devourer for our sakes and all we do will prosper. Is the devourer eating up your income? You have a choice, Life or death, Blessings or curse…Tithe or not to tithe. God even helps with the choice, in Deuteronomy 30 verse 19, He tells us to choose life!
I chose the Blessings!

MY PRAYER…
Father, help us to understand your plan. Help us to see how the Kingdom of God works. Open our spiritual eyes and show us Your ways. Lord help us to obey Your Word, help us to reap the blessings You have promised for obedience. Help us to reap the blessings and prosperity You have commanded us to have.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday Nov. 13, 2016

Have you experienced God’s Promises

Promises from God:
God promises us His spiritual blessings of freedom.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32 NKJV)
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:36 NKJV)

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2 NKJV) I (you) have been freed from that awful curse of the Law of Sin and Death that every single human being has inherited from the first Adam after he sinned in the Garden of Eden! I don’t care who your parents are, whether they were Christian or not, or how good you think you have been. The Bible says ‘All have sinned and fall short of the glory’ period. (Romans 3:23)

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17 NKJV)

But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. (Romans 6:22 NKJV)

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S MANNA…

Do you have His freedom in your life? Or are you still struggling with the worldly ways. Is lust and greed the creed you live by? Do you struggle with the day to day business of life always trying to be better than the Jones’ next door? The answer to ALL your problems is an easy one!

Humble yourself before God, ask His forgiveness, and then be obedient to His Word. God knows your every thought and God knows your needs. His Word says He will provide for your every need. IT doesn’t say your every want though.

My Prayer… God I thank you for your provision in my life. I thank you that you know my every need just as you know the numbers of the hairs on my head. Lord I thank you that as I obey your word you meet my every need day to day. In Jesus Name Lord I give you praise and Glory forever. Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday Nov. 12, 2016

Is God at work in you?

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
God made the world in 6 days using only His Word. Remember the Earth was void and without form in the beginning. Now He sustains it with the power of His Word. But in each of us, He is still at work and will continue to work in and through us to His glory until Christ comes back to take us home. Only then will we be fully complete in Him. But, this will only happen if we have made Jesus our Lord. Notice I did NOT say Savior, but Lord. Jesus must be your Lord before He can ever be your Savior! A Lord has control over you and your life. Jesus must be allowed to be this before He can be your Savior!

MY PRAYER…
Thank you Father, for being at work in my life. I confess that at times You seem distant, but looking back over the crucial moments where things were held in the balance in my life, I can see Your fingerprints, Your footprints, and Your grace leading me to where I am today. Please make Your presence more powerfully known in my life as I seek Your will and to live to Your glory. Through Jesus I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Friday, Nov. 11, 2016

Only Godly people will have an inheritance in the Kingdom of God!

But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Ephesians 5:3-5 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Isn’t it fitting that God warns us through Paul right after saying we are to be imitators of Him, about what we should not be or should not do. He is very specific about un-Godly actions such sexual lusts, evil doing, homosexuality and fornication, or the worship of idols etc. He goes on to tell us that if we are or if we do these things that we will have no inheritance in His kingdom. In other words God will NOT acknowledge us as sons or daughters of Him. God will NOT allow His children to act like the world around them. God will not honor religious fanatics either, He was Not pleased with the Sadducees and Pharisees of Paul’s time. God wants His Children to honor Him and Jesus and to be Christ-like in nature. This is a pretty stern warning if you ask me. Have no other God’s (Idols/Icons/Statues/Prized Possessions, coarse or worldly friends) before me. Oh, and did you notice that God called all of His children (believers) saints!

MY PRAYER…
Lord help me to renew my mind and to fill my heart with Your Words of wisdom to me. Help me to understand the true meaning of Your Word, Your Covenant, and Your Promises. Help me Lord to know how to not allow anything to separate me from Your Love, Your grace, and Your mercy towards Your children. Lord give the me power and the strength to change my ways from this day forward.
In Jesus mighty name, I pray.
Amen
