TODAY’S MANNA for Tuesday Jan. 31, 2017

Do you go to God for your wisdom and revelation or to the world?

“…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power…”
Eph. 1:17-19 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Not in OUR power, Not by OUR might, but by HIS Spirit and His power! Notice that Paul is praying and asking for wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. He is also asking that your spiritual eyes be opened or enlightened so that you can know what God’s plan is for your life. God already knows and has known since before the foundations of the world, we just need to find out so that we can pursue it and walk it out. We need to be right in the middle of God’s perfect will for our lives. For then and only then will His blessings overtake us. Do you want God’s perfect will in your life? Pray this prayer over yourself and your family daily and then listen as God speaks to you. Remember God may use someone else to speak to you, just be sure you know that it is from God. Listen by your spirit.

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, I know that I was not worthy for You to justify and to plan my life for me. But because You loved us so much You made a plan for my life, You set the days of my life in Your books. Lord now I ask that those plans be revealed unto me. That I might see Your perfect pathway for my life. Lord I know that on my own I can not find it or have the strength to walk in it if I do find it. So please strengthen me by Your Holy Spirit. I pray Father, that everyone reading this will get a revelation of Jesus Christ and Him crucified for them. That Your plan for their lives will be revealed unto them and that they will pick up their cross and find Your perfect pathway for them. In Jesus name.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday Jan 29, 2017

God does promises not resolutions!

Promises From God
As January of this new year comes to a close I was reminded that so many people make New Year’s “resolutions” and then don’t keep them. God doesn’t make resolutions He makes promises! So with that said, it is once again time to review some of the Promises from God. God’s Word says Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Notice it says hearing first and then that what you are hearing is God’s Word! Not hearing what your circumstances, or your co-workers, or the nightly news, or any of the rest of the world around you is saying! Not hearing what the doctor is telling you or what your body is saying to you. To have faith to receive God’s promises you need to keep hearing His Word, God’s Word, concerning them. Having heard once is NOT enough! These promises are ours to receive as His children – partakers of His covenant with us through Jesus. But just as our earthly fathers and mothers required certain things of us in obedience, so does God require that we be in obedience to Him and His Word if we expect to partake of what He has already given us through Jesus. Notice I said already, past tense, He has already done this. As this year unfolds I believe that we need to press in more to God, be obedient to His Word and His Spirit and begin to believe that we have received His promises and thank Him for them, even before we see any results, that’s how Faith works. Because His Word says “believe when you pray that you have received”, it does NOT say believe when you have received! Faith in God is believing before receiving!

God’s Faithfulness

God makes us a promise that He is faithful and He promises to keep His Word to us.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) —-Hebrews 10:23 King James Version

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? —-Numbers 23:19 King James Version

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. —-1 Thessalonians 5:24 King James Version

… I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. —-Isaiah 46:11 King James Version

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. —-Isaiah 55:11 New King James Version

For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. —-I Corinthians 1:20 King James Version

Notice God makes no negative promises. If you are hearing negatives, then who are you hearing from?

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S MANNA…
What is so hard to understand about these promises? A resolution can be broken, a promise is for keeps. If God has spoken it (or it is written in His Word) then it shall be as He has said!
Isa. 55:11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper [in the thing] for which I sent it.”
It is settled as far as God is concerned, If you don’t have it yet, it is because you haven’t received it (as in taken it from Him). If I promised you a 100 dollar bill and I was holding it in my hand for you to take, how would you get it? All you would need to do is come and take it from my hand, receive it! Well, how much more your Heavenly Father’s promises! God says they are already ours for the taking, our part is the taking from Him and the receiving them.

MY PRAYER…
Heavenly Father, I thank You that Your promises are yes and amen. I thank You Lord that if You have spoken it or if it is written in Your Word that I can count on it coming to pass, I can expect it to happen. Lord I thank You that You are much more trust worthy than mere men, that when You make a promise, written or oral, it will be done! In Jesus Name Father, I thank You for Your promises to me and I give You all glory and honor for ever.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017

Are you deceived?

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:8 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
There isn’t a man (or woman) that ever walked the face of the earth that didn’t have sin, save the man Jesus Christ Himself. I don’t care who you are or that you say you’ve never sinned. The Bible says: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.(Rom 3:23)” And God’s Word (The Bible) is truth! For we were all born of Adam’s seed, who put mankind into sin, and we deceive ourselves if we say we have no sin or have never sinned. But, God (everybody say, “But, God “) in His great mercy saw fit to send His only Son to pay the price for us. He had to because there was no other way we could be made righteous before Him. His righteous judgment would have demanded our death. But, Jesus bought us out of sin, sickness, poverty, depression, bondage and whatever else you might need recovered from with His blood on the cross that great day over 2000 years ago. We must now walk (be renewed by) in the light of His grace and mercy. Receive what Jesus has already done for you and allow His Word to change and conform you into the image of Him.

MY PRAYER…
Loving Father, thank You for making a way for me where there was no way. Thank You for showing me the sin in my life and making a way for my forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. Father, help me by the power of Your Holy Spirit to walk and live a sinless life from this day forward. Change me Lord and renew my mind in You. Help me to know that I have been cleansed with the blood of Jesus and been made righteous before You, through His righteousness. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Friday Jan. 27, 2017

You have a lawyer that represents you before God the Father!

My little children, these things write I to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
1 John 2:1 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
We are not to sin, but God knows that man is fallible, so He provided a way to be cleansed and made righteous before Him if we did sin (Not that He wants us to). The Word of God is the truth and it says He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us. “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14), the Word is alive for evermore. God provided us with an advocate (a lawyer if you will) (G3875. parakletos, par-ak’-lay-tos; an intercessor, consoler:–advocate, comforter), a mediator to go before God the Father on our behalf. But we must first ask Him for that forgiveness, a heart felt repentance (change), not just lip service, He knows our hearts. Then we must allow Him to effect a change in us. And when we are judged by God this is what happens: Standing in God’s court and the accuser of the brethern (Satan) lists all of the things you have done wrong and stands back and smiles at you. Then Jesus stands up, looks at the Father and says: Dad, I already paid the price for “Put Your name here” sins. Father God slams His gavel down and says “Not Guilty!”

MY PRAYER…
Father, thank You for giving me an advocate with You, someone I could go to when I need forgiveness. Someone who is not of this flesh that can stand before You on my behalf. Father, I thank You for Your Son Jesus, whom You gave for me and to me, to be my Lord and Savior. Thanks Dad that I have a way back into Your righteousness. A way for You to welcome me Home. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Thursday Jan 26, 2017

Did you know, the Good Fight of Faith always ends in victory, in triumph?

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”
2 Corinthians 2:14 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
As you fight the good fight of faith today, remember this: Your mind is where the battle will always take place. Whatever you allow to captivate your mind and your thoughts will rule your life. Will it be the Word of God or the lies of Satan told through the things and people of the world? The decision is yours. Spend time in God’s Word, find out what it says about your situation. Listen for the ‘Still Small Voice’ of God, it’s usually just a delicate whisper in your inner most being.

If you want God’s Word to reign in your life, then make up your mind now to resist the devil, resist the lust of the flesh and the world, and refuse to surrender to the circumstantial pressure Satan brings your way. Decide at the onset that you will not succumb to this trial. Press in to God and stand immovable upon the promises of God’s Word.

When thoughts come that are contrary to God’s Word and His will, cast them down immediately, don’t give them a second thought. And above all, don’t worry and fret. Worrying is meditating on the thoughts Satan has brought your way. When you recognize you are worrying, stop it immediately. Replace worried, fearful, and doubtful thoughts with the Word of God, and meditate on those.

Be assured, Satan will continually try to tell you that your situation is hopeless. He will persistently peddle doubt, defeat, and discouragement. If you don’t buy his lies, he can’t cause them to come to pass in your life. Remember he is a liar and the father of all lies. You need to remind him of his future!

God has promised that He will always cause you to triumph in Christ. You are guaranteed victory over any adversity you face today, if you face it with Christ. Make up your mind right now to be a winner.

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father God, I thank You for my triumph in and through Christ. I thank You Lord that You have made me the head and not the tail. I thank You Father that You have said in Your Word that I can do ALL things THROUGH Christ, who strengthens me. Father, I thank You for making me a winner and a victor in and through Christ Jesus. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Wednesday Jan. 25, 2017

Have you really received the Grace of God?

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present age, looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of the great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
Titus 2:11-13 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
In a world that has no absolutes, in a world of failing, decaying moral standards, lost ethics, and just plain degeneration to an animalistic state, salvation by the unmerited grace of God beckons us to change our lifestyle in response to God’s grace. In a world that has digressed to the same state as Sodom and Gomorrah, which God destroyed because of their degenerate homosexual lifestyles. Anyone who receives grace and refuses to pursue Godly righteousness (refuses to allow the Word of God to change them) demonstrates his/her ignorance or just their plain hardness of heart. Have they really received His Grace? God will give the worldly up to their unrighteousness (He will allow them to do what they want to do), before they are destroyed for it. This includes all those of the world who practice homosexuality and other degenerate immoral lifestyles, Paganism, Wicca, or any other non Christian religion . That does not mean He approves of it or is a part of it, they make their own choice. In our day, in our time, to be saved means we must also pursue righteousness — not so that we may earn our salvation, since salvation is the gift of God and not of works, but so that God’s saving grace will not be fruitless in us. It also means we should NOT stand idly by and let the world become an immoral, homosexual cesspool, that some call gay! There’s nothing ‘gay about homosexuality. We need to stand our ground and help keep the moral and civil laws governing us pure and Godly in nature. God, His Word, the Bible do not condone ‘same sex’ marriages! Looking to Jesus, who HAS (past tense) redeemed us with His precious blood, making Him the Lord of our life. When Jesus is the Lord of your life you will let Him lead and guide, change you from the inside out. You will begin walking the talk of a Christian life, not just talking it, but living it every day. Being a Christian means living a lifestyle according to the Word of God. Living like Jesus did!. Knowing and understanding “Jesus Christ and Him crucified for us!”

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, I confess that I live in a confusing time. Satan is always distorting the distinction between right and wrong, good and evil, moral and immoral. Father, I thank You that You have sent Your Holy Spirit to be our Comforter and our Guide and Teacher. That He will lead us into all truth of You and will expose the lies and deceitfulness of Satan in the world around us. Because You have been so gracious with me, may my life today reflect the righteousness You gave (past tense) me through Jesus. May the words of my mouth, the thoughts of my heart, and the actions of my life be pleasing in Your sight. That which is not from or of You I denounce in my life. Through my Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer, Jesus, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017

The angels of God been sent to you!

And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling, Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
Daniel 10:11-12 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSES…
Daniel was in great distress and being held by the king and had been drained of all his strength and was short of breath even. But, because he had set his heart on God and humbled himself to the point of asking God for help, God sent His angel to strengthen him. Not only did God send an angel, He sent Michael, the greatest Archangel, one of the greatest of all the angels. Do you need God’s angels at work for you? All we have to do is Believe and ask, then command them – no other proof needed!

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, thank You for giving your angels charge over me. Thank you Lord for instructing them to harken unto your spoken Word and to be ministers (servants) un to those of us who are heirs to your Kingdom through our faith and believe in ?Jesus, Your Son. Thanks Abba Daddy for giving me that which I was not worthy to receive. That which I could in no way earn You lovingly gave to me as a free gift, if only I would receive it. Father, I exercise my faith and I accept that which I was not worthy to have, but that which You have freely given. Thank You Lord for sending me Jesus to show me the way, the only way! In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Monday, Jan 23, 2017

No man has or ever will walk this earth without sin, except the Man Jesus Christ.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:8 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
There isn’t a man that ever walked the face of the earth that didn’t have sin, save the Man Jesus Christ Himself. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.(Rom 3:23)” For we were born of the first Adam’s seed, who put mankind into sin, gave us a sin nature by inheritance, and we have deceived ourselves if we say we have no sin or have never sinned. But, God (everybody say, “But, God “) in His great mercy (un-merited favor) saw fit to send His only Son to pay the price for us and for our sin. He had to because there was no other way we could be made righteous before Him. NO priest, or minister can absolve your sins for you, the Bible says: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1John 1:9) He, God, Jesus will forgive us. He did not say to go ask the priest to forgive you, he can’t, God has to. God’s righteous judgment would have demanded our death. But, Jesus bought us out of sin, sickness, disease, poverty, depression, bondage and whatever else you might need recovered from with His blood on the cross that great day over 2000 years ago. We must now walk (be renewed by) in the light of His grace and mercy. Receive what Jesus has already done for you and allow His Word to change and conform you into the image of Him. Go to God, in the name of Jesus, and ask for His forgiveness. The Word says, “…He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1John 1:9). The priest, or reverend, or Mary, or some other canonized saint can NOT forgive your sin. It is God who forgives, not some man or woman and God alone.

Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday, Jan 22, 2017

Did you now that God loves ALL people, everywhere in the World?

Give thanks to the Lord, call on His Name; make known among the nations what He has done and proclaim that His Name is exalted.
Isaiah 12:4 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
It is wrong to think God’s love for the nations began only with Jesus and the Great Commission. Remember Jonah’s preaching to save Israel’s great enemy, Nineveh and the whale? Remember the precious story of Ruth? How about how He used the harlot Rahab to protect his people. God loves all people (not just Christians!) and wants them to come to share in the truth of the knowledge in Him and in His grace. As Christians, we are His salt and His light. We are here as His great workmen, to touch all the peoples of the world and to share with them The Truth that will set them free. We are to convince them to listen to and believe The Truth of His Word and to repent and turn from their worldly ways unto the Father through Jesus who gave His life for them.

MY PRAYER…
Most Holy God, I give You praise and glory and thanks giving forever. Father I thank You for Your covenant promises made through Jesus for us. Holy Father, stir within our hearts a greater passion to share Your love with the world. May our lives, our money, and our concerns be used to do more of Your work throughout the world. Father I thank You for Your protection and care of all those who share the Gospel of Jesus especially in a culture other than their own. I know that You are not a man that should lie and that what You have promised in Your Word must be true. In Jesus mighty name, I give You praise and glory forever.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017

Without faith it is impossible to please God, but what is faith?

Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Without faith it is impossible to please God, but what is faith? Hebrews 11:1 says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. NOT the HOPE, but the evidence! Where does that evidence come from? God’s Word is like my confirmation number that I have a hotel room when I travel. I can’t see the room, but I have a number, a word that says I have a room. Faith, comes from the Word of God, from what God’s Word says about the situation, about you, about your health, about your prosperity, about your deliverance, about your joy, about it all. No matter what you see in the natural, no matter what you feel in the natural, no matter what the doctor’s are saying about your health in the natural, faith is believing what God’s Word says about the situation! Faith is NOT HOPE, it is the evidence found in God’s Word about your situation. Faith is believing and walking and living by what God’s Word says, not the natural senses. This is not denial, I’m not saying that you deny you are sick, or poor, or depressed, or even oppressed. No, what I am saying is that instead of denying, or instead of repeating what you are told, you say what God’s Word says about it. I don’t say I’m not sick, I say, “By the stripes laid on Jesus I am healed!” This is living by God’s Word, by calling forth what He has already declared in His Word for us. By calling that which is not as though it were until it becomes true!

MY PRAYER…
Almighty God, Most Holy Lord, I thank You for giving me a measure of faith that I can plant in my heart and cause to grow. Thank You Lord, for Your steadfast love and enduring faithfulness even when I falter. I thank You for Your grace and mercy that follow me where ever I go. I thank You for Your might and power displayed in and through my life. I thank You for Your awesome holiness. I thank You… for being You and choosing to reveal Yourself to mere mortals like me. I Thank You Father for loving me so much that You sent Your Holy Son Jesus to bear my sin, my punishment, my sickness, my disease, my poverty, my depression, and my lack of fulfillment in the law, that through His sacrifice (His shed blood) I might have life and life more abundantly. In Jesus’ name, your Word made flesh, I pray.
Amen
