TODAY’S MANNA for Monday Feb 27, 2017

There is ONLY ONE way!

The name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth… Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Don’t try and tell me we are all trying to get to heaven our own way, or that there are many ways. There is NO other way! I didn’t say that, the Word of God did! Who do you say Jesus is? Jesus is God’s gift to mankind. A gift is free, you do NOT have to earn it but you must receive it for it to be of benefit to you. Will you receive God’s gift?
Jesus, “there’s just something about that name!” The words to that old song are right on. That name made the Pharisees of old seethe with anger and indignation. How dare Him call Himself the “Son of God!” But to me, that name is anything and everything I need for Salvation from what a warped, broken, and morally degenerate and corrupt world can NOT provide. Salvation is more than just going to heaven someday for eternity. Salvation is much more than just fire-insurance! Salvation is for now, here on earth also! It is a package deal full of the promises of God. The Greek word soteria (so-tay-ree’-ah), translated above as salvation also means: rescue or safety; deliver, health, salvation, save, saving (the Hebrew word includes prosperity and liberty as well.) Salvation through the blood of Jesus is total redemption from sin, sickness, disease and poverty, not when we get to Heaven, but, NOW here on earth just as it is in Heaven! Mat 6:10 “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as [it
is] in heaven.” His will is total salvation now! He is our Savior because He was willing to become a man like us (to lay aside His deity for a time) and come into this world, to live the only sinless life ever lived and to bear our limitations, shame, sickness, disease and sin, in His Body for us on the Cross. He then triumphed over them through His death, burial and resurrection by the power of the Holy Spirit of God (the same Holy Spirit that He gave to us). He defeated death, hell, and the grave; He defeated the devil, and now he (the devil) doesn’t have a leg or feet to stand on!

MY PRAYER…
Through the precious name of Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, my Lord, I thank and praise You God. Your love has given the ultimate sacrifice for my sin and Your grace and power have given me the assurance of my resurrection from the dead by the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave. Your Son’s willingness to spend a lifetime with and to be to me a Great High Priest who forever lives to intercede at Your right hand on my behalf has ensured my eternal destiny. His example lets me know of Your great love. You so loved me, that You gave Your only begotten Son that I might have eternal life. Thank You Father, for being so gracious and merciful, for giving me such a wonderful Savior.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday Feb 26, 2017

Are you filled with the world or God and His blessings?

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.
Selah.
Psalms 68:19 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The Lord our God will load (fill to overflowing) us daily with His benefits. Trust in the Lord, rely on Him. “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV) Do you hear that? ALL His promises are Yes and Amen. As we look back today on the events that took place on Sept. 11, 2001 know that our God was watching over us as a country. Had our God not been there many many more would have perished that day. If others would have heeded His still small voice that morning, even less would have perished. He kept many from going to work in the towers that morning or at least delayed them so they missed the disaster. He has even provided us with salvation. Salvation is more than just going to heaven when you die.
The Hebrew word translated as salvation here is; H3444. yeshuw’ah, yesh-oo’-aw; fem. pass. part. of H3467; something saved, i.e. (abstr.) deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity:–deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.
Notice that among the many things that the translator could have used are victory, prosperity, deliverance, health, and welfare or well being. All of these are part of the total package of our salvation. Don’t just reach into the gift box and take out one thing, take it ALL! There are many churches out there that only teach salvation as eternal life, going to Heaven. How sad! Being saved and having eternal life is nothing here and now unless you also have victory, prosperity, deliverance, health, and well being. “Your will be done on earth just as it is in heaven!” All of these are part of our salvation. He did this for me before I ever loved Him! He loads us daily with His benefits. But as with any gift, if it is not received it is of No benefit to us. You must receive His benefits. “Blessed be the Lord, my God!”

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father God, thank You for the air I breath, the blood that pumps through my veins, and the Spirit of life that You have placed within me. Thank You Father for loving me before I ever loved You. For loving me so much that You sent Jesus, Your only begotten Son, to take my place on the cross. To bear that which I was due that I might have life and life more abundantly. Thank You for loading me daily with benefits and good things. Thank you Father for your protection over our country even when we don’t think about you being there. Thank You Lord, that You are the God of more than enough! Thank You Father, for Your saving grace and Your mercy unto me. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017

Are you one whom a wise King will sift out and remove?

A wise king sifts out the wicked, And brings the threshing wheel over them.
Proverbs 20:26 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Now apply this to the teaching concerning all authority. This includes God’s Word about tithing and offerings too! Ouch! If you are not subject to the authority it says that a wise king (those in authority) will sift out the wicked (will remove those who do not place themselves subject to the God given authority.) and run the threshing wheel over them, in other words he will crush them. And these authorities have God’s Word backing them to do it! For those of you too young or from the city, a threshing wheel was/is a very large heavy device used to separate the grain from the chaff. You say, but what if those in authority are the wicked ones? God will sift them out in His own time, won’t He. Remember king Saul. Did not God eventually remove him? Are you weed seed or good seed,,,, what do your words plant?

MY PRAYER…
Father God, I thank You that I am free in You and that You have and are giving me wisdom and revelation knowledge of Your Word. I thank You that You are quickening in my heart the meaning of Your Holy Word and how it applies in everyday life. Lord help me to understand who those are that You have given authority over me so that I may walk accordingly. Lord help us to know how to pray for those in authority so that your will be done through them. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA Friday, Feb. 24, 2017

Is your commitment to Jesus and your Faith being tested?

Do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
Hebrews 10:35-36 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
There are always some tough times in life, there will always be trials and tests that we will face! They’re inescapable. Jesus said, “But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.” That’s when our faith in the Lord and our relationship with Him will be tested! It is one thing to stand in a worship service at church and sing “it is well with my soul”, but it is quite another to be able to sing it when you are in stocks and chains in a prison dungeon like Paul and Silas were. Or when they auction your house off at the courthouse steps or you’ve lost a child to some horrendous act of the Devil. That’s when the commitment to your faith must be at it’s strongest. That’s when we must know that we know that we know and can walk in that faith in the Lord. We can’t wait until that happens and then try and build our faith. Our faith can’t take a holiday and then us try and travel through the ghettos of hell or we’ll never find our way out. So don’t throw your faith in Jesus away, or push it aside because you don’t think you need it right now. No, stand on it, always, at all times and declare it to the world. Build up your faith day by day.

MY PRAYER…
Holy and Mighty Father God, today is a good day for me. But I am acutely aware that some of those I love, some of my brothers and sisters are wrestling with and are throwing away their confidence in Your love, mercy, grace, peace, and deliverance. Please use me, but even more I pray that You use Your Holy Spirit through me to renew their hearts. I pray that You reveal unto them the errors they have been making. Reveal unto them the real need for holding on to their faith and confidence in You. Lord, place Your mighty hand upon their lives and our lives and intervene directly to change the course of events and give us relief through Your rest. In Jesus name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Thursday Feb. 23 2017

Consecration to God; Not Resolutions!

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:1-2 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The Most High God (“Elyown”) wants us to give ourselves, our bodies, our lives to Him as a living sacrifice. A sacrifice that He can take and change and mold and make into a vessel that He can use for His work and His purposes. But He warns us, to be not like the world. He wants us sanctified and set apart unto only Him. He wants us to transform ourselves through His Word (the renewing of your mind). When we have put His Word into our hearts and continuously meditate on His Word instead of the things of the world, we prove His will. We will do His will, and it will be holy and acceptable to Him. We will have presented ourselves as a living sacrifice unto Him. He will, for His part, cleanse and make us clean before Him and righteous in His eye, and acceptable for every work to which He sets to do.

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, help me to present myself unto You for Your service. Give me the power through Your Holy Spirit to overcome this world’s ways and the corruption of this earth. To be able to lay aside myself and to pick up the life of the Spirit of Christ. Help me to be strong, Oh Lord, through Your Holy Spirit that I might be an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to You in every way. Lord take me, change me, mold me, and shape me into what You want me to be. I give myself unto You from this day forward. I give You all praise, glory and honor forever. In Jesus name, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Wednesday Feb. 22, 2017

Have you become one with Jesus through baptism?

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all ONE in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 3:26-29 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
ONE! Basic, simple, and easy to understand. When we became Christians through our faith and believe in Jesus, the Son of God. Then as an outward sign of our faith and belief we are baptized into Christ with water. The water baptism is NOT what makes us one with Christ, it is our faith and belief in Him. We were made one with all other Christians, those who are in Christ also (Not religious people!) around the world. We became part of a new heavenly family. Race, gender, nationality, color of skin, and social status are all gone. All that’s left is One, “The One”, Jesus. We are now the Body of Christ, ONE body. Our lives are not our own anymore, but are His and thus are connected to each other, we are His members here on the earth. Our destination is the same, Heaven. Our family is the same, His church, His Body. No barriers. No closed doors. We are one in Christ and heirs to the Kingdom of God. But, there is only ONE way to get there and that is through Jesus Christ and Him crucified for you! There is NO other way – though many would try to deceive you into thinking there are other ways. They are liars and lying is the Devil’s middle name.

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, thank You for adopting me into Your family, for grafting me in . May we be one on earth now, as we will be when we are all together around Your throne in heaven. I pray for unity in the Spirit among all those who call upon the Name of Jesus and share Your Spirit so the world may know there is a solution to conflict, strife and division. Father I pray that we, the body of Christ would unify and stand tall against the darkness in this world. That we would take our rightful places and walk out Your plan for mankind until the coming of our Lord Jesus. Through Jesus the Christ, our Lord, Savior, and Righteousness I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017

Do you have a mansion waiting for you?

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
John 14:1-4 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Jesus, shed His blood on the Cross for all of mankind. For you and for me, and for anyone else who would believe on Him and call on His name and endure to the end with Him. Jesus, made us a promise of a mansion in His Father’s house! Grasp that statement. A mansion within a house! How grand that house must be! He promised that He Himself would prepare a place for us and return for us. His only requirement: that we believe in Him until the end. He said you know where I go and you know the way. It was understood that He was telling us to walk in “The Way”, His way. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. (John 14:6) No one, no other way! There is only “One Way!”

MY PRAYER…
Most Holy God, I give You praise and glory forever. Father I thank You for Your covenant promises made to Jesus for us. I thank You Lord that Jesus is preparing my eternal mansion in Your house. Lord I thank You that You are preparing to receive us for eternity. I know that what You have promised in Your Word is true. I thank You Lord that You have given us the best gift You had to give, Your Son Jesus! And I know that You have shown us the way, and that all we must do is follow it. In Jesus mighty name, I give You praise and glory forever.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Monday Feb. 20, 2017

Trust in God to sustain you in life!

[The Lord says,] “Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
Isaiah 46:4 NIV

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Do you want an awesome promise from God? Hear the Words of the “Great God Jehovah” to the remnant of the house of Israel. To the children of Abraham who by Faith have become children of the Most High God with the same rights and privileges as the house of Israel. (That’s us Christians folks!) He is telling them; “put your trust in Me, believe in Me, have faith in Me, for it is I who will keep you and carry you, it is I who will rescue you, and it is I who will sustain you, not those graven idols you have been worshiping.” Then in verses 9 & 10 (of Isaiah 46) He tells them this; “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:” He is telling the remnant of the house of Israel to return to Him and He will show them His salvation (the Hebrew word translated here as salvation means: liberty, deliverance, prosperity, saving and salvation: it means all of these). By the time it got down to the “New Testament”, the Great Jehovah had extended that offer to all the rest of the people on Earth (the unbelieving heathen and gentiles of the world, if they would believe in Him and His Son Jesus) as well as just Israel. Now, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), He is telling us this same thing today, trust in me and I will deliver you and keep you! Is your source the Lord? Or do you trust in the world, worse yet do you trust in SELF instead of God?

MY PRAYER…
Almighty God, I give You all praise and glory forever. Lord I thank You that You carry me when I am in times of trouble, that You are always there to rescue me, and that it is You who sustain me when I can no longer continue. Lord, now I understand why at times I see two sets of footprints behind me and yet at other times I see only one set. I used to think that You had left my side, but now I know that when there was only one set, that was when You were carrying me in Your arms and in Your grace. I thank You Lord that You have never and never will leave me nor forsake me. I put all my trust in You Lord and in Jesus name, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday Feb. 19, 2017

TO: Commander and Chief Spiritual Armed Forces,
Jesus Christ
SUBJECT: Transfer

Dear Lord;
I am writing this to You to request a transfer to a desk job. I herewith present my reasons:
I began my career as a private, but because of the intensity of the battle You have quickly moved me up in the ranks. You have made me an officer and given me a tremendous amount of responsibility. There are many soldiers and recruits under my charge. I am constantly being called upon to dispense wisdom, make judgments, and find solutions to complex problems. You have placed me in a position to function as an officer, when in my heart I know I have only the skills of a private.
I realize that You have promised to supply all I would need for the battle. But Sir, I must present You a realistic picture of my equipment. My uniform, once so crisp and starched, is now stained with the tears and blood of those I have tried to assist. The soles of my boots are cracked and worn from the miles I have walked trying to enlist, encourage, and instruct troops. My weapons are marred, tarnished and chipped from constant battle against the enemy. Even the Book of Regulations I was issued has been torn and tattered from endless use. The words are now smeared. You have promised You would be with me always, but when the noise of the battle is so loud and the confusion is so great, I can neither see nor hear You. I feel so alone. I’m tired. I’m discouraged. I have Battle Fatigue. I would never ask You for a discharge. I love being in Your service. But I humbly request a demotion and transfer. I’ll file papers or clean latrines (bathrooms). Just get me out of the battle–please, Sir.

Your Faithful, but tired, Warrior.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To: Faithful, but tired, Soldier, Spiritual Armed Forces of The Lord God
Location: The Battlefield
SUBJECT: Transfer
Dear Soldier:
Your request for transfer has been denied.
I herewith present My reasons:
You are needed in this battle. I have selected you, and I will keep My Word to supply your every need. You do not need a demotion and transfer. I have equipped you. (You’d never cut it on latrine duty anyway.) You need a period of “R&R” –Renewal and Rekindling. I am setting aside a place on the battlefield that is insulated from all sound and fully protected from the enemy. (Psalm 91)
I will meet you there and I will give you rest.(Matt 11:28) I will remove your old equipment and “make all things new.” (II Cor. 5:17)
You have been wounded in the battle, My soldier. Your wounds are not visible, but you have received grave internal injuries. You need to be healed. I will heal you.(Matt 12:15) You have been weakened in the battle. You need to be strengthened. I will strengthen you and be your strength.(IICor. 12:9) I will instill in you confidence and ability.(1John 5:14) My Words will rekindle within you renewed love, zeal and enthusiasm.(Prov 4:20-22)
Report to Me tattered and empty. I will refill you.(Eph 5:18)
Compassionately,
Your Commander-in-Chief,
Jesus Christ
TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday Feb. 18, 2017
Receive God’s promises for today in your life!
Promises from God:
God promises us His spiritual blessings in and through His Word.
Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven. (Psalms 119:89 NKJV) If His Word says it it is true –just believe that!
The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:8 NKJV) The Word of God is forever, it never changes nor does it diminish in power.
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11 NKJV) The Word of God when spoken in faith will cause to happen that which was spoken – believe it!
Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word. (Jeremiah 1:12 NKJV) If you will speak His Word God is ready and willing to perform it for you!
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 NKJV)
But the word of the Lord endures forever. Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. (1 Peter 1:25 NKJV)
Remember Spiritual blessings are positional truths declared by the Word of God. It is up to us through our faith to activate them and receive them. To make them a practical reality in our lives.
