TODAY’S MANNA for Monday Nov. 20, 2017

Are you being deceived? Do you know if you are?

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience (Those who are of the world, not of God). Therefore do not be partakers with them.
Ephesians 5:6-7 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
How many of you have had someone try to steal the Word from you or try to convince you that the Word wasn’t true or doesn’t work? Beware, they are thieves trying to kill, steal, and destroy you with their empty words. Beware of books and movies which go against the Word of God, even if they claim to be fiction, for example the Harry Potter series. They are there to deceive you, placed there by or through the devil or his advocates (anyone who will listen to him and do his bidding) slyly like a fox. Their sole purpose is to quietly eat away at your faith in God. They slowly but surely begin to wear you down if you pay heed to or give them place in your life. The devil comes only to to kill, steal, and destroy you. Remember God’s warning, because of these things the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience (those of the world not born again, who do not obey God’s Word) God sternly warns us to NOT be partakers with them. Either in the acts spoken of, or believing in what is said or portrayed. It is amazing how many people allow, even encourage their children to read Harry Potter, to play Pokeman, to partake of and enjoy Halloween! His wrath which will come upon the worldly will also be upon you if you do or allow this things in your life or family’s life! He loves His children, but He hates the sinful acts that people do. And while He loves His children He can NOT condone any of the sinful acts committed by them, they have NO place with Him.

MY PRAYER…
Faithful Father, thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for sending Your Word to teach and to train me in Your ways. Thank You Father, that You made a way for me where there was no way, a way to walk clear of the things of this world. Thank You that You have given me Jesus to be the Way the Truth, and the Life to me and to this sinful, corrupt, and dying world if they would receive Him. Father, help us to have spiritual ears to hear and spiritual eyes to see and the God given wisdom to discern when the thief tries to come and steal from us and deceive us.
In Jesus name.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday Nov 19, 2017

Who are you waiting for?

So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
Hebrews 9:28 New American Standard Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Who are you waiting for? There is only one who can introduce you into the Father’s presence! There is only one way into heaven and the Father’s presence, not many as some think. There is only one who can and has taken away your sin. The Lord Jesus Christ, any other way is a dead end and false belief. The Bible, God’s Word has made this very clear, anything else is of the Devil! Can you think of anything more exciting than to wait for Jesus to come take us home in His glory. But, that word wait doesn’t mean to sit by and do nothing until He comes. That word wait in the Greek means to look for with full expectancy, to serve and tend to His needs and desires until His return. Are you ready? Have you laid the ground work, have you done your homework? Have you spent your time kneeling so that you can stand in good standing? Remember there is only one way to Father and that way is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. There is only one way!

MY PRAYER…
Majestic King of the Ages, may your Kingdom come in all its fullness and glory. May every knee bow to your Son and my Lord and Savior, and may you grant that it may come to pass in our generation. I eagerly await the coming of my Lord and Savior, Jesus. In Jesus’ name, I expectantly pray and prepare myself for His coming.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday Nov. 18, 2017

What can wash away your sins?

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 1:5-6 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
The revelation of John relates once again to us that we have been cleansed and had our sins washed away, by the Blood of Jesus. Not by some mere man or priest hearing your confession, but ONLY by the Blood of Jesus! Not that our sins have been covered over or hidden, but washed away…as far as the East is from the West. Notice it says by His own Blood, not just by blood, to infer that the blood of animal sacrifices as in the old covenant, that blood could not wash away our sins. God makes it real plain here in His Word that it is nothing but the Blood of Jesus that cleanses us and makes us whole again in His sight. Oh, but He doesn’t stop there, we have a new and better covenant now (really it’s the first one God made 430 years before the Law was given to Moses). Jesus has also made us kings and priests unto God here on earth now with that cleansing. Remember this old Christian tune:

What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus!
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus!

MY PRAYER…
Father, thank You for sending me Your Son Jesus. Thank You Lord that His Blood has the power to cleanse and wash me white as snow. Thank You Father that I was able to give you my old tattered garments and through Jesus You have given me a new robe, pure and white. Thank You Father that You not only made a way for me, but Jesus was willing to pay the ultimate price for me. Father help me to be worthy of the price He paid for me. In Jesus’ Holy name and by the power of His precious Blood I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Friday, Nov. 17, 2017

Freedom, that precious, coveted condition in life.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:31-32 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
There are few things in life more coveted than freedom. People have died for it through out history, are doing it today, and will continue to do so in the future. People pray for it. People strive for it. But true freedom comes from knowing the truth. Knowing the truth only comes by living in obedience to Jesus and the Word. By knowing, understanding, and living by the very Word of God. Truth is not something you merely think about or believe. Truth is something you do, something you live. Jesus’ teachings always end with the exclamation: Blessed are you who do these things! Jesus made it so simple and easy to understand, how can you not know what He meant. Only by doing what He told us to do will we ever know the truth that liberates us. You can hear about it, you can read about it, you can even see it, but until you do it for yourself and it gets into your very heart, you will not experience the truth that sets you free. That truth is the Word of God! Until you know Jesus Christ and Him crucified for you, you can not experience true truth!

MY PRAYER…
To the only true God be glory, honor, power, and praise. Father, I seek not only Your presence in my daily life, but also Your pleasure and Your will in the choices I make. Please continue to teach me more of Your truth as I pledge and strive to live everyday in obedience to Your Word and Your will. Father, help me to be a doer and not just a hearer. Let Your Holy Spirit fill me fresh each day with the power necessary to do the things You have called me to do. Through Jesus the living Word I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Thursday Nov 16, 2017

You have been bought, your debt has been paid in full

And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Luke 22:19-20 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
Jesus paid the price for us with His body and His blood on the Cross. His body was broken for us that we might have health and live free from sickness and disease. His Blood was shed as an offering to God for us, a seal of the “New and Better” covenant God has made with us who believe. We have been bought with a price, a very precious price. Do you rightly discern the Lord’s body and what He has done for you, or do you give sickness and disease place in your life. When sickness tries to come on you do you speak what the Word of God says to it or do you just receive the sickness? Jesus already bore all sickness and disease so we wouldn’t have to! It’s a done deal – He said”It is finished!”
Can someone shout Praise the Lord! \0/ \0/ \0/ \0/ \0/

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, praise the glorious Name of Jesus. Father as we partake of communion with You help us to fully understand everything that You meant it to be. Lord, open the eyes of our understanding and fill us with revelation of You and Your Word. Lord, help us to understand ALL that was done for us by Jesus on the Cross that day. Lord help us to understand who we are in, by, and through Jesus. Lord purge us of all unrighteousness that we may be as vessels of honor worthy to be used by You. In Jesus’ Holy name and by the power of His Blood I boldly make this request of You.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Wednesday, Nov 15, 2017

“Looking for love in all the wrong places!”

He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity, and honor.
Proverbs 21:21 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Isn’t it funny that most of us pursue worldly things like fame and fortune, according to the world, the best things in life(?) according to those who are worldly. We strive to find happiness, joy, significance or meaning to life in and through these things. But we seldom find it, because we are looking in all the wrong places. You’ve heard the song “Looking for love in all the wrong places.” We are looking in the world and the things of the world to try and satisfy our spiritual need instead of looking to God and the things of God which are Spiritual. But, really the best things in Life are “free!” We are not following the principles that God laid out in His Word. “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and ALL these things will be added unto you.” What things? All the things mentioned above that we are looking for, that we are looking to make ourselves happy through! However, when we offer ourselves wholeheartedly to the Lord and His will (seeking His Kingdom first), it is then that we find what we most need. It is then that the empty spot in our hearts is filled. When we have laid down our lives and picked up the life (Zoë life) of God, it is then that we are overcome with joy unspeakable and full of glory receiving the end of our faith (Eternal Salvation.) Are you aware that the Hebrew word for Salvation means: something saved, i.e. deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity:–deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health). Yes, salvation is much more than just going to heaven someday, it is also health, prosperity, deliverance from whatever you need delivered from, it is victory over everything, and it is for now here on Earth! I didn’t say that God did. Why is it that many churches and preachers only preach salvation as going to Heaven when you die? God said in His Word “On Earth just as it is in Heaven.” The Word of God says I can have Heaven here on Earth now! Is there sickness in Heaven? Is there poverty in Heaven, whose streets are made of gold? Is there lack in Heaven? Are people depressed and sad in Heaven?
There answer to ALL of these ?s in NO! emphatically NO! Then if I can have Heaven on Earth now, I can be set free, lack for nothing, be prosperous, and be healthy here and NOW! I just have to submit to God and His Word. Look to God for Love and you will find it!

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, Giver of every good and perfect gift, I ask today that You give me a chance to serve You and others in a way which glorifies Your kingdom. Father, help me to lay aside my life and the cares and things that come with it and to pick up Your life. I thank You that in the process You choose to fulfill the desires of my heart, because Your Word says it is so. Father, fill that empty place in my heart with Your Holy Spirit and Your great and precious love. This I ask and pray through my Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Tuesday Nov 14, 2017

Does your lifestyle bear the fruits of the Spirit of God?

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Galatians 5:16 King James Version

Or if you need an amplified version so you can hear what God is saying to you:
But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to
and controlled and guided by the Spirit of God]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).
Galatians 5:16 Amplified Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
It is so much easier to live by and do the things that we can see, hear, feel, taste, and touch in the natural than it is to do the things of the Spirit. Of course the point is simple: what we can see, hear, feel, taste, and touch appear to be more real to us than something in the spiritual realm. That’s why we need to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit within us and His presence upon us also (as on the day of Pentecost), to help us walk and live by the spirit, this is so important. Not just His Spirit from the new birth, but a Pentecostal experience of the Holy Spirit coming upon us subsequent to and apart from the new birth. Once this happens He enables and empowers us to move beyond our sin nature — not by focusing on it and refusing it, but by enriching us and empowering us to do the important things of God, so that we will not even want to do the things we used to, but shouldn’t do now. He will give us the want to, and then the strength to do so. He helps us to destroy old habits and create new ones based on our walk (our living out) by the Spirit. He will erase the old programming tapes (of the mind) and write over them with new programming from the Word of God. To live by the flesh is death, but to live by the Spirit is Life!
“casting down arguments (imaginations) and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” 2 Corinthians 10:5

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, I thank you so much for Your Holy Spirit that lives in me and is now empowering me with His presence upon me to do that which pleasing to You. Thank you Lord for continuing to fill me anew each day with Your Holy Spirit so that my life more nearly reflects Your will and focuses on Your concerns. Through Your Holy Son Jesus, who sent Your Spirit to dwell in and upon me, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Monday, Nov. 13, 2017

Have you cast off the things of the world that will hinder you spiritually?

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Hebrews 12:1 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The world around us is constantly witnessing to us it’s worldly, sinful, immoral ways. It is constantly bombarding us with things that are not Godly, with what they claim is the acceptable norm for today. Lesbianism and homosexuality are not the norm nor are they acceptable to God. Who says what is acceptable, them or God? I think it is God who says and Romans Chapter 1 is very clear how God feels about it. It is nothing but their justification for their lack of very poor judgment and their immoral ways. They try to make everyone think it is okay and the norm. Teaching our children pro-Islam or Harry Potter’s witchcraft in school is NOT the norm. Arresting Christians because they speak God’s Word is NOT the norm. We need to throw off the vision given us by the world, shake it off and turn away from the lustful sins that come with the things of the world. We need to set our minds on the things that are from above, from the Father. You can’t embrace the things of the world and be Christian (Christ-like) at the same time!
“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” The ways of the world brings forth death!
We need to press into the things of God using Jesus as our example. We have a race, a course charted for us, that was charted before we were even born. But we must choose to run that race, and not only to run the race but to run it to win and finish. It’s our choice. God’s way and life or the world’s way and death, the choice is yours!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, I thank You and praise You for who You and what You are. I thank You Lord that You are a loving Father, who has charted my race for me before the beginnings of time. I thank You Lord, that You know the end of my race and the outcome if I will only follow You. I thank you Lord that I can choose to run that race and that You will provide the example and the strength I need to complete my race. In the precious name of Your Son, Jesus, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017

Are you covered by the Blood of the Lamb of God?

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
Exodus 12:13-14 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Here God is telling us that because of the blood of the lamb that was placed on their doorposts He will cause the Angel of death to pass-over them and their household. But any doorpost that does not have the blood of the lamb on it He will allow the Angel of death to strike their firstborn, both of them and of their livestock. God tells them to make this day a memorial and to keep it throughout their generations. He is saying; “remember that which I have done for you!” This was Old Covenant –this was for the Israelites, the Jewish people, God’s Chosen ones. But, under the “New Covenant” Jesus has covered all of mankind with His precious Blood. He is the Lamb of God to us. The only thing necessary to be covered by the Blood of the Lamb today is to make Jesus your Lord! No other work or works are necessary, just believe in Jesus. It’s so easy! The Blood of the Sacrificial Lamb, shed once for all my sin and for my forgiveness. His Blood shed once for all will be my daily pass-over from now on. We need to remember what Jesus did for us! We need to put ourselves under that Blood each and every day. We do that when we have a personal daily relationship with Jesus. We MUST KNOW Him, not just know about Him!

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, thank You for sending Jesus to be the Sacrificial Lamb for me. Thank You for the shedding of His Blood that my sin might be washed away, forgotten, cleansed by His blood. Thank You Lord for putting me in remembrance of what Jesus did for me. That through Him by the washing of His blood I have been made the righteousness of God in Jesus. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017

Search me, O God, lead me in the way everlasting!

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and He is all knowing. He knows the condition of our hearts even better than we do. God knows us inside and out. We can’t pretend we are something we are not with Him. We can’t hide behind a facade and pretend to be something else, He knows us! He sees all we do and hears all we say. He even knows our thoughts before we speak them. This should liberate us to be able to have real intimacy with Him, but instead most of us run from such a close relationship with God. If our desire, however, is to become more like Him, the only way to be transformed into His likeness is by inviting Him in and allowing “Him to look at our heart, our motivations, and our desires, all of it, not just some. He desires our close , intimate, fellowship most of all. He wants to renew your heart, mind and soul to a point where you think, feel, and desire the things He does.

MY PRAYER…
Father, I know You are the one who “searches hearts and minds” yet because of the grace You demonstrated in Jesus, I am confident that You love me. My heart is sorry for the sin I have committed, and I truly am ready to change. But I need Your help and Your power working in me to affect that change. I of myself can do nothing. I am really trying to serve You in honor and purity. Please fill me afresh today with Your Holy Spirit to enable me to become more like Christ. Father, search my heart and purge that which is not of You. In the name of Your Holy Son, Jesus I pray.
Amen
