TODAY’S MANNA for Monday May 29, 2017

Can you stand to the test of a true Christian?

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
We must stand the test, are we ‘True’ Christians? Anyone can make the claim that they are Christian, but will they pass the test? In the great finale, at the day of judgment, only ‘True’ Christians win at life ((Revelation 20:15 KJV) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.) That’s because none of us have the power to hold back our flesh’s greatest enemy, death. But we who are righteous by the blood of Jesus, we who are the children of the Most High God, we have been given the ultimate victory, eternal life, life that will not end. Yes, our physical body (our house that we live in now) will die, but because we are a spirit, and because we have been re-created one with God’s Spirit, we will have eternal life. The knowledge that we have that eternal life within us now, the Holy Spirit of God, that’s what gives us the power to persevere through trials unto the end. Jesus said in John 17:3 “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” Not know about or know of, but know, personally know Jesus! There is a difference! You must know Him and have a personal relationship with Him, fellowship with Him, daily. The test of a ‘true’ Christian is whether or not you know God personally, not just know about Him!

MY PRAYER…
Thank You, Father, for giving me the assurance that when all is said and done, I will share in Your life and Your victory forever. Help me this day to live confidently, knowing that I have Your life, eternal life, within my very spirit right now. Help me, Father, to live out that eternal life here on earth until the day that my work is done and my race is finished and You welcome me home. Through Jesus, my Savior and Lord, I pray.
Amen
