Are you the Righteousness of God?

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Cor. 5:20-21 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
If God has gone to such great lengths to reconcile us to Himself and adopt us into His family, how can we refuse to be His ambassadors? We must not! How can we refuse His Righteousness ? We must not! We must understand that because of what Jesus did for us we are now the Righteousness of God through Christ! We must accept the full gift of adoption that has been set before us, not only that, but we must let the rest of the world know what He has done for us and for them. We must know and understand what was done for us by and through Jesus and not only for us, but for all of mankind if they will only receive it. But, they must know that it is there available to them to receive. That’s where we become Ambassadors for God, we are to tell them the ‘Good News’ about Jesus and what He has done already for them. Nothing you could ever do would make you righteous before God. It took Jesus, the Son of the Living God, to be our righteousness. That’s right, without Him we are nothing! We are what we are because of Jesus. Dare to boldly declare what the scriptures say you are! Kings and priests, a holy nation, as well as His ambassadors.

MY PRAYER…
O Gracious God, I know my sin has broken Your heart and offended Your holiness. Words, therefore, cannot communicate my thankfulness to You. You were hurt by my sin and yet You provided a sacrifice to redeem me from it and reconcile me to You. Thank You, Father, for making me righteous through the blood of Your Son. Not through the blood of animals, but Your Precious Son’s Blood. As I consecrate myself unto You, I know that You are at work in me, sanctifying me, setting me apart for Your use. May people see in me a reflection of Your holiness, Your righteousness, justice, love, and mercy. Through Jesus, who sacrificed Himself for my sins, that I may be the righteousness of God in Him, I pray.
Amen
