TODAY’S MANNA for Monday, Feb. 12, 2018

God promises us that we are righteous before Him!

Did you hear what that promise said? – That we are righteous before God! That means He sees us as in ‘right standing’ before Him, as if we had never sinned!

Promises from God
God promises us His spiritual blessings of righteousness.

Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; (Romans 3:22 NKJV)
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
(2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV)
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
(Romans 5:17 NKJV)
So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 5:21 NKJV)
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
(Romans 8:10 NKJV)
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
(Romans 4:3)

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
Righteousness or to put it another way, right standing before God, being justified or found innocent before the judge and court! Standing in God’s court and the accuser lists all of the things you have done wrong and then Jesus stands up, looks at the Father and says: Dad, I already paid the price for “Put Your name here” sins. Father God slams His gavel down and says “Not Guilty!” This does not mean that we are perfect, but because of what Jesus has (past tense) done for us on the Cross we can have right standing before God. God even says in His Word that we become the righteousness of God Himself through Jesus. That’s incredible! God looks at us through the Blood of Jesus and no longer sees or remembers our past sins and unrighteousness, but instead God sees us as free from sin and now the embodiment of His own righteousness through Jesus.

MY PRAYER…
Thank you, Father, for loving me and sending me Jesus to be my example. Thank you, Father, for sending Jesus to take my place on the Cross and bearing my sin, sickness, disease, and poverty that I might become the righteousness of You through Him. Thank You Lord for loving me. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray.
Amen
