TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday Mar. 4, 2018

God’s desires for us!

[God] has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
God’s desires for us are not hard to discern, His Word is full of His desires and promises for His people. But, you must read and meditate His Word to know His desires.
He wants to bless us with salvation (the full meal deal not just eternal life). The incredible gift of His Son is powerful testimony to this truth. But salvation from sin and death is not something He wants to happen in our lives only once and then be forgotten. He wants our lives to reflect daily fellowship with Him apart from the world around us. He wants us to step into His throne room, speak with Him, and to meet Him in that secret place for fellowship. He wants us to separate ourselves from the world, and unto Him only. We should always embrace and pursue His fellowship and His mercy in our relationships, and honor Him with our worship from a humble heart.

MY PRAYER…
Almighty and compassionate Father, as I embrace Your fellowship, help open the eyes of my heart so that I may see what Your heart sees. Teach me to hate sin, not the person, but to be merciful to the one who is repentant. Teach me to know the truth and to act fairly. Help me, Oh Lord, to discern between Your ways and the world’s ways, that I might unveil the wiles of the devil and make known his temptations. Through Your Holy Spirit, stir me to repentance and change my heart oh Lord, that I might become a vessel worthy of the Master’s use daily. In Jesus name, I pray.
Amen

  1. no fellowship is going to be perfect but there are many good bible believing fellowships out there. these were some general considerations for attending a fellowship. what we do in our assemblies should be an overflow of what we do outside of our corporate worship services and as we are blessed we can also be a blessing to others in the community. knowing what is expected of us as believers, according to the Word of God will help us to pick a church based on His standards and principles. we also get out of fellowship what we put in. we dont go for the sake of it, to kill time, to be entertained or just for the sake of seeing friends. although these may sometimes be part of the equation the purpose of fellowship is in acts 2. to learn the apostles doctrine, edify ourselves and others and the worship with other believers however salvation is personal, just because other people are not serious about the time they spend in a service doesnt mean you cant connect with God right there.
