TODAY’S MANNA for Monday, Oct. 31, 2016

Have you cast off the things of the world that will hinder you spiritually?

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Hebrews 12:1 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The world around us is constantly witnessing to us it’s worldly, sinful, immoral ways. It is constantly bombarding us with things that are not Godly, with what they claim is the acceptable norm for today. Lesbianism and homosexuality are not the norm nor are they acceptable to God. Who says what is acceptable, them or God? I think it is God who says and Romans Chapter 1 is very clear how God feels about it. It is nothing but their justification for their lack of very poor judgment and their immoral ways. They try to make everyone think it is okay and the norm. Teaching our children pro-Islam in school is NOT the norm. Arresting Christians because they speak God’s Word is NOT the norm. We need to throw off the vision given us by the world, shake it off and turn away from the lustful sins that come with the things of the world. We need to set our minds on the things that are from above, from the Father. You can’t embrace the things of the world and be Christian (Christ-like) at the same time!
“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”
We need to press into the things of God using Jesus as our example. We have a race, a course charted for us, that was charted before we were even born. But we must choose to run that race, and not only to run the race but to run it to win and finish. It’s our choice. God’s way and life or the world’s way and death, the choice is yours!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, I thank You and praise You for who You and what You are. I thank You Lord that You are a loving Father, who has charted my race for me before the beginnings of time. I thank You Lord, that You know the end of my race and the outcome if I will only follow You. I thank you Lord that I can choose to run that race and that You will provide the example and the strength I need to complete my race. In the precious name of Your Son, Jesus, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday, Oct 30, 2016

Are you covered by the Blood of the Lamb of God?

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
Exodus 12:13-14 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Here God is telling us that because of the blood of the lamb that was placed on their doorposts He will cause the Angel of death to pass-over them and their household. But any doorpost that does not have the blood of the lamb on it He will allow the Angel of death to strike their firstborn, both of them and of their livestock. God tells them to make this day a memorial and to keep it throughout their generations. He is saying; “remember that which I have done for you!” This was Old Covenant –this was for the Israelites, the Jewish people, God’s Chosen ones. But, under the “New Covenant” Jesus has covered all of mankind with His precious Blood. He is the Lamb of God to us. The only thing necessary to be covered by the Blood of the Lamb today is to make Jesus your Lord! No other work or works are necessary, just believe in Jesus. It’s so easy! The Blood of the Sacrificial Lamb, shed once for all my sin and for my forgiveness. His Blood shed once for all will be my daily pass-over from now on. We need to remember what Jesus did for us! We need to put ourselves under that Blood each and every day. We do that when we have a personal daily relationship with Jesus. We MUST KNOW Him, not just know about Him!

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, thank You for sending Jesus to be the Sacrificial Lamb for me. Thank You for the shedding of His Blood that my sin might be washed away, forgotten, cleansed by His blood. Thank You Lord for putting me in remembrance of what Jesus did for me. That through Him by the washing of His blood I have been made the righteousness of God in Jesus. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016

Search me, O God, lead me in the way everlasting!

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and He is all knowing. He knows the condition of our hearts even better than we do. God knows us inside and out. We can’t pretend we are something we are not with Him. We can’t hide behind a facade and pretend to be something else, He knows us! He sees all we do and hears all we say. He even knows our thoughts before we speak them. This should liberate us to be able to have real intimacy with Him, but instead most of us run from such a close relationship with God. If our desire, however, is to become more like Him, the only way to be transformed into His likeness is by inviting Him in and allowing “Him to look at our heart, our motivations, and our desires, all of it, not just some. He desires our close , intimate, fellowship most of all. He wants to renew your heart, mind and soul to a point where you think, feel, and desire the things He does.

MY PRAYER…
Father, I know You are the one who “searches hearts and minds” yet because of the grace You demonstrated in Jesus, I am confident that You love me. My heart is sorry for the sin I have committed, and I truly am ready to change. But I need Your help and Your power working in me to affect that change. I of myself can do nothing. I am really trying to serve You in honor and purity. Please fill me afresh today with Your Holy Spirit to enable me to become more like Christ. Father, search my heart and purge that which is not of You. In the name of Your Holy Son, Jesus I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Friday, Oct 28, 2016

How do you walk in integrity before God?

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
Psalms 94:14-15 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
If we will just walk in integrity and righteousness, with an upright heart, a heart that is pure and set on the things of God, He has promised us that He will not forsake us. That He will not cast us off, but that we shall be partakers of an inheritance and be the children of God. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like an awesome promise to me and I want to partake of it. So how do I walk in integrity before God? Obey His Word, always! Obey His delegated authority where ever it is and through whom ever He delegates it, for ALL authority is from God. When needed I come to Him and ask for forgiveness for transgressions, and I ask from my heart not as lip service and then I repent (make the changes necessary), He forgives me and cleanses me of all unrighteousness.

MY PRAYER…
Father God, help us to understand Your ways. Help us to understand that Your ways are not our ways. Lord, help us walk in Your ways and to set ourselves on the things that You would have us to do. Lord, strengthen us and help us to keep a pure heart through the working of Your Holy Spirit within us. Lord, help me to be as Abraham was when You accounted it unto him for righteousness. In Jesus name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Thursday, Oct 27, 2016

The Lord shall give those who walk in integrity an inheritance for ever!

The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Psalms 37:18-19 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The Lord knows the days and the ways of the upright or those who walk in integrity before Him. The Lord shall give those who walk in integrity an inheritance for ever. I didn’t say that, God did! What kind of an inheritance do you think God can give His Children? We shall never be ashamed nor shall we ever lack for anything, even during a famine. That famine isn’t just a lack of food, that is a lack of anything you would need to survive! If, we will seek Him and walk in integrity before Him, He will preserve and keep us always.” I didn’t say that, God did in His Word, His Bible (His Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth!
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, I thank You and praise You for who You are. I thank You Lord that You are a loving Father, whose only desire is to preserve and keep those who will walk upright before You. Just as You did for the father of our Faith Abraham when You made Your covenant with Him. He walked upright before You and You counted it unto him for righteousness. Father, I thank You that I can walk upright before You and that I can be the righteousness of God through the blood of Jesus. I thank You Lord that by my faith in Jesus Christ, I am Your child and have an inheritance in the Kingdom. Father, I resist the devil, evil and all that comes from the devil, for You have given me Your promises and they keep me. In the precious name of Your Son, Jesus, I give You all praise and all glory forever.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Wednesday Oct 26, 2016

Do you walk upright with integrity?

The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
Proverbs 11:3 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Remember God told Abram (Abraham), “…I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.” (Gen 17:1) God was telling Abram to be upright or in today’s language to be a man of “integrity”. God wanted to bless Abram beyond what he could comprehend, but Abram had to be a man of integrity in order for God to be able to do so. A man who walks in perverseness or transgressions walks in the curse and will be destroyed. Not because that’s what God wants, but because it opens the door for Satan, the destroyer to come in. I believe that is what’s missing from much of our society today…integrity of person, both with each other and especially before God. The world today is in such moral degradation that integrity has been cast aside long ago. That lack of integrity is causing even greater moral degradation of the human race we see today. And it is bringing about it’s own destruction by opening the door for Satan and his demons to come in and do their evil deeds.

MY PRAYER…
Most Holy Father, I give you praise and glory in all things. Lord I ask you to help me, so I may know how to be a man of integrity. Lord I ask you to empower me through Your Holy Spirit to be able to walk in integrity. Father, help me to understand Your ways and Your will. Help me to walk as Jesus did when He walked on the earth among men. In the name of Your Holy Child, Jesus, I ask and I pray this.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Tuesday Oct. 25, 2016

Sent from Bremerton, WA
Do you know God’s will for your life?

Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: Ephesians 1:8-10 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)
Jesus is Lord! God’s plan was purposed in Christ from the very beginning. It centered on Christ coming at the right time (God’s perfect timing). God’s plan was to bring unity to His people in and through Christ by making Him Lord of all! What’s more, this plan that brings our salvation brings God great pleasure. God is the only loving, saving God and Jesus is both our Lord first, and then our Savior. So the real issue we face today is this: What area of our lives, our hearts, our secrets, our sin, our rebellion, have we not submitted to His Lordship? For when we have fully submitted ourselves unto His Lordship then and only then will we see the manifestations of all His promises begin to take shape in our lives. “On Earth just as it is in Heaven!”.

MY PRAYER…
O Precious Father, I know my heart can be deceitful. At times I even fool myself. But when I kneel in Your presence and I am convicted by Your Word, I find myself reminded of the areas I have not yet fully submitted to Your control and to Jesus’ lordship. Please, dear Father, use Your Holy Spirit to gently show and convict me of my self-deception so that I may be wholly lost in Your will. Help me Father by giving me the want to to submit all to you and then the power to do so. Through Jesus, Lord of lords, and King of Kings, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Monday, Oct. 24, 2016

Christ is not divided and no one but Christ was crucified for you!

I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.
1 Corinthians 1:10 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Paul was appealing to the church at Corinth to be of one mind. To care for one another as though they were one body, because they were. For churches (people are the churches not the buildings) to get along, often times their leaders must remind them about the unity of the spirit. Paul reminded them that Christ was not divided and that no one but Christ was crucified for them. Paul goes on in the following chapters to explain to them how although you may have come to know Christ through one or the other of the disciples like himself, that the foundation for your relationship should always be Jesus Christ and Him crucified for you. Not Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, nor Baptist, or Catholic, or Protestant, or Nazarene, or some other denomination, but only Jesus Christ and Him crucified for you! When we get to Heaven there won’t be any denominations people, only the saints who gave their life to Jesus while still on Earth. Oh and by the way, the Bible says we are ALL saints once we make Jesus the Lord of our lives! Not only Saints, but Kings and Priests unto God also!

MY PRAYER…
Lord Jesus, You have presented so many of my prayers to our Father, but today, I want to thank You for loving me so. I promise that I will do all I can, to the glory of our Father, to live at peace and to serve not only those who belong to You, but those to whom You are also calling. Father I pledge to serve Your Body (Your Church) as if it were my own, because it is. In Your Holy Name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday Oct 23, 2016

Who are you waiting for?

So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
Hebrews 9:28 New American Standard Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Who are you waiting for? There is only one who can introduce you into the Father’s presence! There is only one way into heaven and the Father’s presence, not many as some think. There is only one who can and has taken away your sin. The Lord Jesus Christ, any other way is a dead end and false belief. Can you think of anything more exciting than to wait for Jesus to come take us home in His glory. But, that word wait doesn’t mean to sit by and do nothing until He comes. That word wait in the Greek means to look for with full expectancy, to serve and tend to His needs and desires until His return. Are you ready? Have you laid the ground work, have you done your homework? Have you spent your time kneeling so that you can stand in good standing? Remember there is only one way to Father and that way is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. There is only one way!

MY PRAYER…
Majestic King of the Ages, may your Kingdom come in all its fullness and glory. May every knee bow to your Son and my Lord and Savior, and may you grant that it may come to pass in our generation. I eagerly await the coming of my Lord and Savior, Jesus. In Jesus’ name, I expectantly pray and prepare myself for His coming.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday Oct. 22, 2016

What can wash away your sins?

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 1:5-6 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
The revelation of John relates once again to us that we have been cleansed and had our sins washed away, by the Blood of Jesus. Not by some mere man or priest hearing your confession, but ONLY by the Blood of Jesus! Not that our sins have been covered over or hidden, but washed away…as far as the East is from the West. Notice it says by His own Blood, not just by blood, to infer that the blood of animal sacrifices as in the old covenant, that blood could not wash away our sins. God makes it real plain here in His Word that it is nothing but the Blood of Jesus that cleanses us and makes us whole again in His sight. Oh, but He doesn’t stop there, we have a new and better covenant now (really it’s the first one God made 430 years before the Law was given to Moses). Jesus has also made us kings and priests unto God here on earth now with that cleansing. Remember this old Christian tune:

What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus!
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus!

MY PRAYER…
Father, thank You for sending me Your Son Jesus. Thank You Lord that His Blood has the power to cleanse and wash me white as snow. Thank You Father that I was able to give you my old tattered garments and through Jesus You have given me a new robe, pure and white. Thank You Father that You not only made a way for me, but Jesus was willing to pay the ultimate price for me. Father help me to be worthy of the price He paid for me. In Jesus’ Holy name and by the power of His precious Blood I pray.
Amen
