Covered by His Blood

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Here God is telling us that because of the blood of the lamb that was placed on their doorposts He will cause the Angel of death to pass-over them and their household. But any doorpost that does not have the blood of the lamb on it He will allow the Angel of death to strike their firstborn, both of them and of their livestock. God tells them to make this day a memorial and to keep it throughout their generations. He is saying; “remember that which I have done for you!” This was Old Covenant –this was for the Israelites, the Jewish people, God’s Chosen ones. But, under the “New Covenant” Jesus has covered all of mankind with His precious Blood. He is the Lamb of God to us. The only thing necessary to be covered by the Blood of the Lamb today is to make Jesus your Lord! No other work or works are necessary, just believe in Jesus. It’s so easy! The Blood of the Sacrificial Lamb, shed once for all my sin and for my forgiveness. His Blood shed once for all will be my daily pass-over from now on. We need to remember what Jesus did for us! We need to put ourselves under that Blood each and every day. We do that when we have a personal daily relationship with Jesus. Are you covered by the Blood of the Lamb of God?
We MUST KNOW Him, not just know about Him to be covered by His Blood!

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, thank You for sending Jesus to be the Sacrificial Lamb for me. Thank You for the shedding of His Blood that my sin might be washed away, forgotten, cleansed by His blood. Thank You Lord for putting me in remembrance of what Jesus did for me. That through Him by the washing of His blood I have been made the righteousness of God in Jesus. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Do you have a Covenant with God?
A covenant from God made with Abram (Abraham) and handed down to us through Jesus, 430 years before Moses was told to write down the Ten Commandments. A covenant so powerful that God said it would still prevail over the covenant made with Moses and it still exists today! In the Hebrew language the word translated here as covenant has the meaning that there is to be a cut or incision made implying “Blood Covenant”. H1285. beriyth, ber-eeth’; from H1262in the sense of cutting [like H1254]); a compact (made by passing between pieces of flesh). God made this “everlasting” covenant with Abram (Abraham) and with his seed after him for generations. Abram “cut” the covenant with God for us and then it was ratified through Jesus, and God changed Abram’s name to Abraham – meaning “the father of many nations.” If you are a “born-again” believer, if you have asked Jesus to be the Lord of your life, then you are Abraham’s seed. You have a part of this covenant with God Almighty! You have a right to expect and claim the things promised by God to Abraham and his seed as long as you keep your part. As this New Year comes to a close and we prepare for the beginning of a new year take a stand and stand on God’s Word to you and believe for an exceedingly abundant and fruitful year! And then go out and do your part, what you were called to do.

Father, I thank You for Your Holy Word, thank You for every promise You made in Your Word to Your people. Thank You Father for making a covenant with Abraham and his seed and making it an everlasting covenant through the generations. Thank You Lord that I am a part of that covenant with You, that what You promised Abraham and his seed, You also promised me, because I have believed in Your Son Jesus. Because I am washed in His Blood, I have a part in that covenant. In Jesus mighty name, I Thank You Father.

Arrayed in white robes, taken out of tribulation,(out of the battle and strife) and set before the Throne of God! Can you think of anything better than that? Because we have been washed in the Blood of the Lamb we will serve Him day and night and He will dwell among us. Glory to God, can someone shout Praise the Lord! Will you be one of those arrayed in white robes?

What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus!

Holy Father, praise the glorious Name of Jesus. Exalt His Name for evermore. Lord thank You for the robe of white that clothes me round about. For the robe of righteousness that You have clothed me with. Thank You Lord for taking me out of the tribulations of this world and placing me high above in heavenly places with You. Thank You Lord that You have come to dwell amongst us and in us, as we are now the temple of the living God. Thank You Lord for calling me to serve You and anointing me to do the work of Your ministry. Though I was not worthy You have Called me and have promoted me within Your Army. I thank You Lord for the priviledge to serve you and for all You have given me. In Jesus’ Holy name and by the power of His Blood I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
How is your spiritual maintenance?
Did you know that the seemingly innocent things in your everyday life can rob and steal from your spiritual life and your walk with God? Those little innocent cares can suffocate and kill your spiritual life if you allow it? It’s been said that the United States, among other nations, has become a nation of maintenance and workaholics. And it’s true. We have so many things to maintain: our houses, our cars, our yards, our toys, our machines, our tools, our hobbies, our appearance. But what about our Spiritual man? It’s true. We can become a maintainer of so many natural things that we don’t have any time left to maintain our own spirit! Is it time to simplify your life? What happened to the simple life? You feed your physical body at least 3 times a day (some of us even more), how many times a day do you feed your spiritual man? Most of us can’t even answer once a day! But we should be feeding the spiritual man even much more than we feed the natural man. Why? Because he will be with us for all eternity. I’ve had to learn to simplify life myself. I released or gave up or just got rid of some of the time consuming things that were in my life. Now when I’m considering something I think I need, or something new I think I need to do, I don’t just count the cost in dollars and cents. I think about how much time it will take to maintain it or to do what it is. I check to see if I can spiritually afford the time to maintain it without affecting my spiritual life. After all, when it’s all said and done and our natural life comes to an end, it’s the spiritual life that we will have forever after! And nothing that you have here in this natural world will you be able to take with you. Nothing!

Second Timothy 2:4 says, “No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.” Are you in the Army of The Lord? If you’re a Christian you are supposed to be.

MY PRAYER…
Father God , I pray that You would continue to help us purge ourselves of the I and Me, and show us how to refill with more of Jesus. Help us, Lord, to lay our cares at Your feet, and to not get caught up in the things of this world. Father, You said in Your word, for us to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness and then You would add all these THINGS (things of the world) unto us. Help us lord to understand truly that in our hearts and to learn to maintain our spiritual well being first and foremost. I thank You, Father, for Your perfect grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
None, not one of God’s promises are anything but yes and amen! God does not have any “No” answers or “I’m sorry not today in His New Testament!” When a child of God asks Him for something according to His Word, it is always “Yes and Amen!” It may not be for right now though, but it is always in His good timing not ours. If you are hearing No after asking God for something according to His Word, you are not hearing God’s answer! My question then is “Who are you hearing from?” You may not hear any answer if you are asking amiss, it must be according to His Word. That means you must first know His Word before you ask. Remember, His Word is His Will! And you must be walking with Him in your life. You must know His Will for you and His Word concerning His will. That means you must be fellowshipping with Him and meditating His Word daily so that you know His Will! A prayer that states “If it be thy will oh, God” is really a prayer amiss showing that you don’t know God’s Will. Just like going to ’church’ doesn’t make you a Christian, not knowing His will makes for bad prayers. Fellowship with Jesus makes you a child of God!

MY PRAYER…
Heavenly Father, Thank You for being my all in all. Thank You for having nothing but good answers for me when I ask you for something. Thank You Lord that I can place my trust in You, that I can rely on You when all else seems dim and gloomy. Father, thank You that you are always there willing and ready to answer me with Yes child and Amen daughter. In Jesus name, Father I thank You for Your loving care for me.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
We should begin each new day with God. For it is He who gave us our very breath to breathe. Time should be spent first with God before we ever venture out into the world around us. Remember we are in the world, but we are not of it! Every breath we take should be a powerful reminder that He has granted us another day of life to serve Him, that it is He who sustains our very life. Every beat of our heart should seem as though God Himself were there causing it to beat (because He is.) It should be a reminder of His love for us.. These simple blessings are so easily forgotten. We best remember to teach His ways to our children, to show them, and live them with and before our children always. We must be examples to our children, especially you fathers, for you are head of the family just as Jesus is Head of the church. Ask yourself this question: “Am I teaching them the ways of God or the ways of the world?” “Would Jesus do this if He were here?”

Almighty God, Gracious Sustainer, and Undeserved Friend, thank You! Thank You Lord for this breath I take and for the heartbeat that sustains my life. Make me aware Lord as I travel, talk, rest, and work that You are the reason I live and that You are worthy of my very intentional best. Help me Lord to never forget to lift my voice in praise to You at all times. Through Jesus, my gracious sacrifice I pray.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
God is faithful and keeps His Word!
God is faithful and His covenant is a covenant of love not of hate or anger. The devil would love for you to think that God is a god of hate and anger toward you. No, God is a good God, He will not forsake us, but rather He will treat us better than we deserve. A covenant established with Abraham 430 years before the “Mosaic Law” (the core of which is the Ten Commandments) was given to Moses. A covenant that the “Law” could not and did not replace, but rather the “Law” only served as our guide & teacher unto Jesus. Just as any loving parent treats even a rebellious child better than they deserve, the only requirement to receive this covenant of love is that our hearts must be tuned to love and honor God as God. He only asks that we love Him and Keep His commandments, do what He said to do in His Word, daily. We must not think of Him as just a good luck charm or a weekly guest into our otherwise busy lives. What we do must be done in awareness that it is done before His eyes and must be done for Him! Everything we do must bring Glory and honor to Him as God. Remember this, God hears, sees, and knows what you think and do all the time, not just when you are praying or when you are in church. He even knows the thoughts of your heart!

MY PRAYER…
Father God, help us to understand Your ways. Help us to understand that You are not the one who brings evil or bad things upon us. But You are the one who will deliver us out of such things. You are He who will turn back our enemies and cause them to flee seven ways. For all good and perfect things come down from the Father of light. Thank You for the way You preserved Your promises to the Israelites and brought Jesus just as You promised. I trust Your promise to send Him back to bring me home to You. Please receive the deeds and words of this day as my thanks to You for Your covenant of love with me. Lord, help me to increase the effectiveness of my faith. In the name of Your Holy Child, Jesus, I pray.

The Blood of Jesus

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
The Blood of Jesus!
How are we cleansed from sin? The Bible says we are cleansed from sin by the Blood of Jesus! There is NO other way! This happens when we extend our faith to trust in God’s grace and walk in the light. That means that we are walking in fellowship with God’s Son Jesus daily. Not anything else will work. The more we walk in faith, in the light of His Word, and the more we fellowship with one another, the more He will have fellowship with us. And while Jesus’ death was a “once for all,” the cleansing power of His Blood goes on and on as long as our hearts are in tune with His and we walk in the light of His grace. We do not have to have Jesus get back on the cross for us again, we just walk in fellowship with Him and in faith let Him renew our minds. God said He would impute our faith as if it were righteousness so that we become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We become what we are not and could not ever be on our own! Only through Christ Jesus, there is NO other way! Have you been cleansed by the Blood of Jesus?

Holy Father, Loving Father, thank You for the gift of Jesus and the cleansing power of His blood, shed through His death on the cross. Help me today to live a more dedicated life, to understand and receive the cleansing and renewing that His blood, through His death has made possible. Thank you for the assurance that as I seek Your will for my life and live out Your plan for my life You have, through Jesus, also forgiven me of my sins and cleansed me with His blood and made me a new creature in Christ Jesus . In Jesus’ name I pray and offer You all thanks and glory forever.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Are you really a Christian? Christianity is not a religion when practiced correctly – religion is being like the Pharisees and Sadducees of old, or even the Catholics today. No, that’s not true Christianity. Christianity is being Christ-Like and Christ-centered in everything you do. A lot of different religious groups will give you all sorts of ways to know whether or not you are filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus has one simple answer: “by their fruit you will know them.” Paul gives us the definition of Holy fruit, of being filled with and letting the Holy Spirit live in and guide your life. Say them out loud and ask the Lord to make it true in you: LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, SELF-CONTROL. Notice which one is first! Do you walk in them daily? All of them? Let the Holy Spirit come and live in you and guide you daily. He will bring them to pass in your life. You can say you are Christian because you go to church every Sunday, but just like standing in a McDonalds won’t make you a hamburger neither will just going to church. You MUST have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! He must be your Lord and you must walk the talk also. Are you really a Christian or are you just religious?

MY PRAYER…
Abba Father, in the name of Jesus I call upon You. Please help me to fulfill in myself the character You possess and desire for me to possess. I want to exhibit the qualities of Your Son, Jesus in my daily life. I want Your Holy Spirit to fill me and dwell, abide, make His permanent home in me, that I might allow Him to lead, guide, and teach me all the days of my life. That my fruit would bear forth and be a witness of Your indwelling presence in my life. Most of all, Lord that I be filled with and walk in the same love for people that You do.
