Here’s What God’s Word Says About Angels

“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
Psalm 91:11 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
It’s time to set the record straight. Do you believe in Angels, you’d better! Here’s God’s Word About Angels. Angels are not kid stuff. They’re not cute little fat babies (that we call cherubs) with long blonde hair and bows and arrows in their hands. And they are NOT those who have gone before us either. Our people who die before us do NOT become angels. Angels are NOT human in nature though they may at times take on human appearance to complete their tasks. Angels are a separate spiritual being created by God and are not human beings! They are separate spiritual beings created by God for His purposes (“Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” Heb 1:14). Angels are big, strong warriors. They are real, though spiritual in nature. They are powerful. And, if you are a believer, they should be a vital part of your life. God said they are ministers (servants) to those who inherit salvation, that’s all who have given their life to Jesus. God said His angels harken unto the Word spoken. Notice I capitalized “Word”, that’s because it must be God’s Word if they are to harken unto it, not ours unless it lines up with God’s! Read the account in Daniel chapter 10 about how the angels, even Michael, the Archangel, came to Daniel’s aid. If you’re a child of God, then you have a right to expect God’s angels to be at work for you. So, start expecting, start directing them, according to God’s Word. That’s right, I said “Directing the Angels of God!” Say, “Thank You, heavenly Father for giving Your angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways.” Once you’ve spoken that word of faith, stand fast. Don’t fear. Don’t waver. Just be patient and keep believing, and you will surely see the angels of heaven go to work on your behalf. I have numerous personal accounts I could give, if space would permit.

MY PRAYER…
Lord I thank You that You have given Your angels charge over me. I thank You that I can speak forth Your Word and the angels of heaven harken unto it to make it happen. Lord I thank You that when I am weak You are strong and Your angels will come and minister to me just as they did to Jesus in the wilderness. Lord, help me to understand the true meaning of Your Word, Your covenant, and Your promises. In Jesus mighty name, I pray.

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday Dec. 30, 2017

As this year winds down, remember what Christ did for you over 2017 years ago!

Christ died for sin once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Having stood in recent years over the open graves of loving family members and dear friends, I know the appearance and feel of death’s finality on our human frailty. But I was reminded of Christ’s death for us. His death for us not only included burial, but also His resurrection! He was raised from the grave and placed at the Father’s right hand in heaven by the Spirit of God. And then He promised that I (you and me) could have a place beside Him at the Father’s right hand!
Knowing that my family members and friends who have left this physical life and who were in Christ and He in them, I also know that He has raised them up to heavenly places with Himself just as He was raised up from the dead to sit at the right hand of the Father on the Throne. Death in this physical realm is not the end —it is but the beginning of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. I believe God raised Jesus from the dead and that He is the first fruits of those of us who believe in Him. That He is the first born of many brethren, and I’m one of them brethren! He is alive, not just in Spirit, but in glorified bodily form seated with the Father in Heaven, and so am I also! Remember, Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father forever making intercession for those of us who belong to Him. That’s something to confess for the new year that’s soon coming.

MY PRAYER…
Almighty God, thank You for the gifts of Your grace, Your Mercy, Your Holy Spirit, forgiveness and life. Most of all, thanks for the gift of Your Son, Dad. Who brought redemption and eternal life to me through His Blood, shed for my salvation. While I have no great desire to die in the natural, I know I can look beyond physical death to You and Your victory in Jesus for me. Please continue to give me the courage and the strength through Your Holy Spirit to live every day for you. In the Glorious name of Jesus I pray.

TODAY’S MANNA for Friday Dec. 29, 2017

Stand up and declare who you are in Christ

But the just shall live by faith [My righteous
servant shall live by his conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and
divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back {and} shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight {or} pleasure in him.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Living a life of faith takes courage. Most people don’t realize it, but it does! It takes courage to stand up in the face of sickness and declare that you’ve been healed by the stripes of Jesus. (I didn’t say declare you are not sick or that there is no sickness upon you, that’s lying.) I said: “declare that you’ve been healed by the stripes of Jesus!” It takes courage to believe for prosperity while you are putting your last dime in the offering plate and poverty is staring you in the face. Remember God is our source, not men, even if you are working a job, God is still your source. For God gives man the power to gain wealth (Deut. 8:18). There are going to be some days when you’d rather pull the covers up over your head and hide than take another faith stand against the devil. But don’t you dare, you can’t afford to. Staying in bed and shouting, “Oh God, Help Me!”, Does not constitute a faith walk or going to church and fellowshipping with Him like you are supposed to. Because the battle of faith isn’t fought once and then forgotten and it isn’t fought in the natural or from a bed. It is a spiritual battle, fought on a spiritual level. If you want to keep living in victory, you have to fight it again and again. But remember the battle is not with flesh and blood, but it is spiritual, and we know we have already won. “…but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” (Dan. 11:32)

MY PRAYER…
Father I pray that You open the eyes of my understanding and flood my heart with the hope of Your calling for me, that You reveal to me what is the glorious inheritance You have given to us saints and heirs to salvation. I thank You Lord that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. That You have given us great and precious promises to base our faith upon and help us in our day to day battles with this world. Lord I thank You that You have made us victorious through Jesus! In His precious name, I thank You and Praise You.

TODAY’S MANNA for Thursday, Dec 28, 2017

It is time to get serious about your walk with God

“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee…. I [will] remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.”
Psalm 63:1,6 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
If you’re going to live and walk in divine health, then there are going to be times when you’ll have to be downright extreme about your meditation in the Word of God. Times when you may be facing a sickness so severe that you need more than just a few moments in the Word and a quick prayer to receive your healing. Times when getting your healing will be the difference between life and death and doctors won’t be able to help you. But, I’ll tell you one thing, you don’t want to wait until that day happens and then try and put the Word to work! It won’t happen! You need to be meditating and speaking the Word of God concerning health & healing daily. Don’t wait until the Devil launches a serious attack against your body with something like the ‘c’ word, don’t mess around like that. Get serious about God’s Word. Put yourself under its constant care and it will take good care of you.
“My son, attend to my Words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them,
and health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20-22

Do you believe that? Do you understand what God has said here? These are not just mere sayings people. These are the promises of God to His people! To those who are called by His Name!

MY PRAYER…
Great and Precious Father without comparison, You are truly worthy of my best praise and worship. I rejoice that You are who You are, I celebrate in what You have done, and long for what You are yet to do. Father, I thank You that Your Word is true and what You have said in it is true. I thank You that You have given us Your promise of healing and divine health according to Your Word. Lord help us to learn to appropriate that promise in our lives. You are magnificent, my Father and my God. Through Jesus, and His matchless love, I will praise you forever.

TODAY’S MANNA for Wednesday Dec. 27, 2017

Did you get that? Did you really get it?

For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the
divine nature]. And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead–Father, Son and
Holy Spirit–and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].Colossians 2:9-10 Amplified Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSES…
Read this very carefully and then re-read again:

All the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Jesus Christ, ALL. Remember He was the Word become flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God! (John 1:1) If the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and the Word was God, then Jesus is God in bodily form or in the form of humanity. Now if you are in Him and He is in you, ((John 14:20 KJV) At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.) then you are complete in Him. We have the full power of the Godhead (God Himself, The Holy Spirit, and Jesus) dwelling within us if we are born again, IF we are “IN” Christ! Why aren’t we walking in the miracles that Jesus did then? We need to learn to put a demand on that power of God that dwells within us. To bring forth all the power of the Godhead when we speak or act according to the Word of God. We need to expect (“Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles”, Pastor Rod Parsley) the same results that Jesus got, that Paul got, that Peter and John got at the gate beautiful. How has it come to pass that this isn’t happening? I’ll tell you why I think it hasn’t, because the doctrines of men have crept stealthily into the Church over the ages. Those that don’t believe in the power of the Holy Spirit within (because they don’t have Him living in themselves) have caused the Word of God to be of no effect in the church today, just as we were warned would happen by the scriptures. It’s time to get those that don’t believe the Word of God is what it says and their false doctrines out of the Church and then get Christ and His power back in! (See 2 Timothy 3) Even if that means removing church leaders – Let God handle that through prayer. I don’t know about you, but as for me and my house we shall believe in the Lord God and the truth of His Word!

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, help me to understand the fullness of Your power that dwells within me. Give me a revelation of what it is like and what it is to be used for. Help me to put aside all things of the natural that hinder me from experiencing Your power in and through me and to learn to expect the same results that Jesus and the early church got when they applied Your Word to sickness, disease, and evil spirits. Let the power of Your Holy Spirit manifest itself fully in all that I do and say so that the world will see the Glory of the Lord manifested bodily in me just as it was in Jesus. But always remind me and help me to guard my heart and to give You all the Glory and all the honor. Father I will, that Your Kingdom come and Your will be done here, now, on earth as it already is in heaven. In Jesus’ name I pray.

TODAY’S MANNA for Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017

I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you!

If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
John 14:15-18 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Oh, how Jesus loves to do good things for us. For those who believe in Him. Notice that He was talking to believers and not the unsaved. He said He would send another Helper. A helper, the Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, the Counselor, The Guide, the Teacher, The Holy Spirit. Jesus made sure we would not be alone. He had the Father send us back not just a good gift, but the best gift! A gift that the world, those who have not made Jesus their Lord, can not receive, know, or see. But we have Him, He dwells in us so that we are not alone (orphans). He is the promise that Jesus will return for us in that “Great Day”! Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? There is another gift of the Holy Spirit subsequent to the new birth. Many have not received this, because they either do not know about Him or they have been taught wrong.

MY PRAYER…
Precious Lord Jesus, Thank You for sending us the Holy Spirit. Thank You for not leaving us alone, but instead giving us a Helper, a Comforter, a guide, and a Counselor. Thank You Lord for sending the Spirit of Truth to lead and to guide us until You return for us. Thank You Father that on the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit was given for all those who would believe and those who receive will be baptized in fire and with power.
In the name of Jesus, Lord I give You all glory and honor.

TODAY’S MANNA for Monday Dec. 25, 2017

Jesus: The Real Reason for the Season

First, Let me say this: I know that this is not the true actual birthday of Jesus Christ our Lord, He was not born in the winter. But it is the day Christians have adopted and for centuries now celebrated in remembrance of His birth. I don’t care what the original non-Christian holiday or celebration was, that no-longer matters. It is now Christmas, CHRIST IN US. The word Christmas is a shortened version of the term Christ-mass or the story of Christ. No other religion has a day or holiday called Christmas. A holiday that is ALL about ‘giving’. A day remembered because God gave us His very best, His only ‘Son’. And this day needs to be referred to by it’s ONLY name and that name is “Christmas.” This not just some holiday that you can call Happy Holidays, or Kwanza(an FBI created holiday), or xmas(removing Christ from the holiday!), season’s greetings, or the time of the season. It is called “Christmas”, “Christmas”, “Christmas” with a big capital “C” whether those of the world like it or not, it’s Christmas!! If that offends you then maybe you’re living in the wrong country or the wrong century! I for one will not bow to the world’s way. If you don’t like our Christmas then maybe you should go back to the country of your choice, but leave our Christmas holiday alone. If someone says happy holidays to me, I will turn around and face them face to face and say “No, It’s ‘Merry Christmas’, it’s Christmas with a capital C.” Check it out
Did you know that some try to say the x is Greek short hand for the word Christ in xmas. Well, that may or may not be so, but as far as I am concerned if you can’t write out Christ for the world to see and read, then you must be ashamed of Him. Do you know what the Word says about being ashamed of Him? If you deny Him to the world, He will deny you before the Father. And that means you spend eternity in Hell!

Now for today’s verse:
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The Savior is born this day. Do you suppose those shepherds of old thought they needed a Savior? What is a savior anyway? Did they comprehend what was being conveyed to them? I don’t know about them, or about you, but if the Angel of The Lord came and spoke to me, I think that I should believe what I was hearing! And if that wasn’t enough, then the whole host of heavenly angels showed up and began praising God! Do you think maybe we should be praising God at this time also. It’s not about gifts and buying and commercialism, it is about ‘The Gift’! Its about giving, God gave us His very best. He emptied heaven of His most valuable gift and ALL for mankind!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, I thank You for the revelation of who Your Son really is to me, of the revelation of what today is really all about. Father, I thank You that, when the time was right, You spoke by Your Spirit unto me and revealed Your Son to me. No man made this known unto me, but the Spirit of God revealed it unto my spirit. Father I thank You for saving me, for giving me eternal life with You, for making a way for me where there was none. Father, that I may come boldly before Your Throne of Grace because Jesus, who was born on this day so long ago, has made a way for me. Father continue to reveal unto me the mighty works of Your Son Jesus. Through the glorious name of my Savior, Jesus, I pray.

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday Dec. 24, 2016

Do you have the keys?

I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. – Matthew 16:19 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The Greek text of that scripture literally reads, “I give you the keys of the kingdom. Whatever you declare locked on earth is locked in heaven and whatever you declare unlocked on earth is unlocked in the heavenlies.”

He was talking about the battle zone, about where Satan’s forces are operating. He was telling us that God has given us power to bind the wicked spirits in heavenly places and to loose the angelic powers of God to work in our behalf.

Philippians 2:9-10 says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” Where? In heaven, in earth and under the earth. That covers it all!

As believers, we have total authority over the powers of Satan (through our relationship with Jesus). We can take authority over the evil spirits that are trying to destroy this nation. We can take authority over them in the Name of Jesus and pull down their strongholds.

It is time we began to realize how important we are to world affairs. Since the day Jesus gave us the Great Commission, the life or death of the world has been in the hands of the Church. We are the ones who have the mighty Name of Jesus and the awesome strength and power of the Holy Spirit and the gospel of the Word of God to bring life and abundance to every creature. We are the ones whose prayers can change every office of authority in this land. (Prayer elected Trump over Hillary!)

It’s up to you and me to begin to intercede right now and use the power God has given us. We may come from different lands with different backgrounds, but we all have one thing in common—Jesus Christ is our Lord. And that alone is enough to alter the spiritual complexion of this earth. “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. ( 2Ch 7:14) God wants to heal America if we will only pray.

MY PRAYER…
Father, I just want to thank You that You have sent Christ to me as an example of how to live the live of faith. You said in Your Word that “I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven,” then I need to be living like I really have those keys! I need to be living by the faith. Father, let Your Holy Spirit give me the want to, the strength to, and the power I need to live by faith in You and what Jesus has already done for me. Strengthen me day by day as I walk with You. Lead and guide me into the “Christ-like” life style everyday. Show me those things that need to change and be removed from my life. Draw me ever closer to Your side. Help me to become God inside minded and to walk and talk as Christ did always. In Jesus’ name I pray.

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday Dec. 23, 2017

Is His Power at work in you?

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Of all the names for God in the Bible, this is my favorite: El Shaddai, Him who is able to do immeasurably more, The God of more than enough! The Great ‘I Am’, I am anything that you need! Our God today is the same God who parted the Red Sea for Moses and then fed 5,000 men (not to mention the women and children who were there with their men) on a green hillside with only a couple of sardine sandwiches and a loaf of bread, then provided 12 baskets of left-overs! I have personally experienced His provision of multiplication of food, it wasn’t the magnitude of the above, but it was still awesome. He longs to do more than we can ask and imagine, but most of us haven’t really given Him much of a challenge or much of a chance. We try to do it all ourselves. Dream big dreams for God. Then step aside and let Him go to work for you and just hang on! Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb 13:8). What He did before He will do again and again!

MY PRAYER…
Almighty and awesome God, do in our day what You did in days past. You said in your Word that You change not, that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. You gave us faith to believe and then You are amazed at the smallness of our faith. Give us vision to see Your plan, to have greater Faith, and to do greater things. We ask this, not for ourselves or our experience, but for a sign to Your people so that the harvest will be large and that Your glory will be great and for the salvation of the world. In Jesus’ name.

TODAY’S MANNA for Friday Dec. 22, 2017

Beware the company you keep!

I wrote you in my [previous] letter not to associate [closely and habitually] with unchaste (impure) people. – 1 Corinthians 5:9, The Amplified Bible

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
The company you keep has such an influence on your spiritual life. Fellowshipping with godly people will help speed you on to victory, while fellowshipping with those who are ungodly, immoral, LGBT, or whatever will drag you down to defeat. That’s why God has said in His Word: “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” ( Heb 10:25)

That’s why the Bible has some things to say about your friends. That’s why it tells you to separate yourself from the world. Because the world and its evil, immoral companions will corrupt you. This is not talking about ministry, where you are actively out ministering to the lost. Jesus Himself ministered to sinners. You have to mix with them to preach to them and pray for them. What the Bible is talking about here are the people you choose for your close friends. The people you spend your leisure time with. The people you buddy, buddy with on a regular basis.

If you want to walk in the things of the Lord, don’t choose friends who walk in the things of the world, people who talk and act ungodly, who don’t give God any place in their lives, people who lust after sex and money and other immoral things. They’ll pull you down. As you rub shoulders with them, you’ll expose yourself to temptation. You’ll get so familiar with sin it will start to appear less repulsive to you. Sooner or later, you’ll fall into it.

So choose your friends wisely. Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. (2 Tim. 2:22 ) Fellowship with those who call on the Name of the Lord out of a pure heart. Expose yourself to their love and peace. Let their faith rub off on you!

MY PRAYER…
Father, I just want to thank You that You have sent Christ to me as an example of how to live and to love others. You said in Your Word that we should not forsake fellowship with each other. Father, let Your Holy Spirit give me the want to, the strength to, and the power I need to live by faith in You and what Jesus has already done for me. Strengthen me day by day as I walk with You. Lead and guide me into the “Christ-like” life style everyday. Show me how to avoid relationships with those who would distract me from the business You have for me, from the lifestyle that You would have me to live. Draw me ever closer to Your side and strengthen my spirit man from within. Help me to become God inside minded and to walk and talk as Christ did always. In Jesus’ name I pray.
