TODAY’S MANNA for Thursday August 20, 2020

Growing Your Salvation

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
1 Peter 2:2-3 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Is your salvation growing?
Salvation is a most precious thing! But like a newborn baby needs it’s mother’s milk, we need pure and wholesome Spiritual teaching (food for our spirit man) from our Father through the Word of God, so that we can grow and mature in the spirit. We need this food daily, NOT just a quick once a week feeding. But if we are staying in the same place spiritually and doing the same things we did when we were newly saved we are not growing and maturing. We have to grow spiritually! Read and meditate Hebrews chapters 5 & 6 and see what God has to say about remaining immature! We must really want to grow. We must crave what is good and what builds us up from God’s Word. Now go and read and meditate Galatians chapters 3 & 4 also. We must get a hold of all that is included in the salvation package. Salvation is not just going to heaven when you die. Salvation is a total package deal! Get out your concordance and look up salvation in both the Hebrew and the Greek. It includes health, prosperity, well being, peace of mind, deliverance, as well as eternal life and it’s for now, not for when when we get to heaven. “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” We are to have Heaven on earth. What are you going to do about it today to satisfy your spiritual appetite? The choice is yours!

MY PRAYER…
Mighty God, thank You for loving me, saving me, and making me a son and an heir. I really want to mature in Your Love and Grace. Bless me today as I seek to pattern myself after Your Holy example, Jesus. Father, increase my territory and my influence, that I may share Your Gospel with all I come to know. Help me Father to fill myself spiritually with the things that will help me grow. But Holy God, I know that true growth comes only from and through You, for You give the increase. So I ask You to strengthen me by Your Holy Spirit as I pursue Your character. Through Jesus’ mighty name
I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Wednesday, August 19, 2020

Praying For One Another

Since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
Colossians 1:9 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Christians praying for other Christians what a concept!
Christians praying for Christians. Praying that each other would be filled the knowledge of God’s will through His Spiritual wisdom and understanding. Isn’t it gratifying to know that others are praying for your wisdom and understanding of God’s will for your life? But in order for you to get that wisdom and spiritual understanding you must be reading and meditating His Word daily and you must be praying for it and praying for others also. You must be doing His Word.
Of course one of the best prayers is the prayer that Paul prayed for the Colossian friends he had never met — “I ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.” Let’s pray that for each other daily. Denominationalism is a device of the devil designed to split and divide Christians, Jesus never told us to make denominations, in fact He: “Am I divided?” We need to look unto Jesus, the Author and the Finisher of our Faith and to stand together and unite at this time more than at any other time past. Especially as we see the Day approaching soon.

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, I pray for the other believers who come before You Lord and seek to live for You. I pray especially for those who share in this daily manna e-mail listing with me. Even though we may all not know each other in the natural we can know each other by the spirit. We all know that our deepest need is to know You more each anad everyday and to live Your will and to be confident that we are known and loved by You. Father, continue to fill all of us with the knowledge of Your will through Holy Spirit-led wisdom and understanding. We want to know You, honor You, serve You, and ultimately see You face-to-face. Through our Lord and Savior Jesus, we pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Tuesday August 18, 2020

Praying For All Men

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1 Tim 2:1-3 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Are you praying for all men – especially your leaders?
Notice that the verse above says we are to “FIRST OF ALL”, before we do anything else, offer supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks for ALL men. God was explicit about the fact that before we do anything else we were to pray for ALL men (men here meaning all mankind). And yes that includes even those with whom you may not agree, especially if they are in a place of authority over you. Like your government. Even and especially for those who may not yet know our Lord and God, even to those who are our natural enemies. But do not gripe and complain about what they are or are not doing if you are NOT praying for them. But the Word of God goes on to say that we must pray for those in authority so that we can lead quiet and peaceable lives and that this is good in the sight of our God. We must all continue to pray for wisdom, patience, knowledge, and the will and plan of God (“…Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven…”) for our leaders like never before. Especially now with things the way they are in world around us. Not just once in some prayer vigil, but rather continually, everyday.

MY PRAYER…
Father I thank You for Your leadership and Your guidance. Lord thank You for hearing our prayers and for providing the necessary wisdom, knowledge, and strength to our country’s leaders at this present time. Father, prepare our leaders for the task still ahead of them. For the rebuilding and the strengthening of this country and its people. Lord I pray that you would silence the mouths of those who talk against our leadership and in turn are talking against You Lord. Show them, Lord Your way of doing things. Thank You that You are at work in the hearts of men even now, causing them to want to and giving them the strength to do Your will. Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done here on Earth Lord, just as it is done in Heaven. Through Jesus’ mighty name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Monday August 17, 2020

Called By God!

God has chosen you to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
Colossians 1:27-28 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
You have been called by God!
Yes you, the Church, the body of Christ (not just Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, but the lay people of the church also), God has chosen you (all Christian believers) to tell the lost of this world about the Glorious riches of His mystery, Christ living inside you! Christ lives in me. The Greater One lives in me. God has made ALL believers Ambassadors of Christ to the world! His Love has been poured out into our hearts by His Spirit so that we can share it with the world. Until we are made completely like Him through the power of the Holy Spirit at the resurrection (2 Cor 3:18), He lives in us. Until we can go to live in the mansion He has already prepared for us in Our Father’s House He lives in us. Everywhere we go and everything we do, He is with us, He is in us. “For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” (Colossians 2:9-10) My job, your job, OUR job, is to tell the lost of this world about this Glorious Mystery and about His Love, so that they can come to know Him inside of them also. This is the ‘Good News’ of the Gospel. But you have to know it first before you can tell it! Get into your Bible and Learn The Word. Become active in a good Word preaching church. Remember this, that everything you do and say, God is in you, with you and knows what you are doing. Answer the Call!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, may the presence of Jesus within me stir me and mold me into Your image and likeness. May Your presence cause me to do Your work today. May Your abiding grace, through the presence of Your gracious Son, call me to Your character and Your will, implanting in my spirit Your will and Your love. Thank You Jesus, for molding and shaping me and consecrating me unto Your work by the power of Your Holy Spirit that fills me daily. Thank You for making my heart like our Father’s. Not my will, but Yours be done. In Jesus’ name.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Sunday, August 16, 2020

Receive The Working Of The Cross

Surely he hath borne our grief, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:4-5 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Have you received what Jesus did for you on the Cross?
Isaiah clearly prophesied the beating, the suffering, and the crucifixion of Jesus for our sins. But he also spoke that Jesus had already borne (past tense, carried away) our grief (sickness and disease properly translated from the Hebrew). If He has already borne (“past tense”) our grief and sorrows then why would we want to bear them again ourselves or ask Him to do it again? If someone took my punishment for me I am surely not going to willingly go and ask for it to be laid on me anyway. Jesus has given (“past tense”) us our healing and health, having taken (“past tense”) our sickness and diseases upon Himself and carried them away at the cross. Receive it, it’s yours, He gave it to you. Stop asking Him to come down, get back on the Cross and heal you again (Oh, God please heal me, if it’s your will! – Stupid prayer!, it is His will and He has ALREADY DONE IT!). God has already healed you – past tense, just receive what is already yours! But you can only do so by Faith in Him and what He has done through His death, burial, and resurrection, that is, IF YOU KNOW HIS WORD! You’ve got to look not just at the Cross, but beyond the Cross to His Resurrection! If you leave Jesus on the Cross, then you miss out on the power given by the Holy Spirit in His Resurrection.

MY PRAYER…
Father God, may I live today fully aware of the price You paid for my life, my prosperity, my deliverance, my health, and my healing. May my words, thoughts and actions be totally in line with Your Word and may I speak that which You have already spoken over me. Lord help me to realize that You have already paid the price for me. The bill’s been paid in full nothing is still owed! I didn’t deserve it, but You paid the price for me anyway because You love me. Father, thank You for Your Son Jesus and His awesome cleansing Blood, Your precious gift to me. Through Him that loves me, my Lord Jesus, I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Saturday August 15, 2020

Redemption by His Blood!

But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
Hebrews 9:11-15 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
Redemption comes ONLY by receiving Jesus and through faith in Jesus and His blood!
Here again we see scriptural evidence of how we are redeemed and cleansed from sin. Notice that it is not by anything that we can do other than to have faith in Jesus and His blood. It not by Buddha, Allah or some other deity, it is only through Jesus! It even goes so far as to say that are our conscience is purged from dead works! If our conscience is purged, then we should no longer remember our past sins either! Are you still holding on to dead works or your past sin? Are you remembering the ‘old’ ways and the ‘old’ man? If you are you need to give them over to the “Blood of Jesus!” We, who are called of God, have an inheritance to receive. BTW God has called all of mankind, will you answer His call?

MY PRAYER…
Precious Father, thank You for the precious blood of Jesus and the cleansing power of His blood. Thank You Lord for purging my conscience of dead works and things of the past, that I may now be filled with Your will for my life and live a life of Godliness and righteousness made righteous only by the “Blood of Jesus!” Thank You Lord that You have cast my sins as far away as the east is from west. Knowing that the east never meets the west, this then is infinity that You have cast them into. I give You all praise and Glory in the mighty name of Jesus.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA Friday, August 14, 2020

One Way And One Way Only!

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and un-blameable and un-reproveable in his sight:
Colossians 1:20-22 King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
There’s only one way to be reconciled to God! – Through Jesus! There is NO other way, there are not many ways to God and Heaven as some will have you to believe. That talk is of the devil to lead you astray! NO, there is only one way and that is through Jesus the Son of God. Here we see that the “Blood” of Jesus has reconciled us to God, not our works or anything WE have done or could do. His Blood has first satisfied the broken Law (Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;) and remitted our sin. Then secondly it has cleansed our guilty conscience. We can see this in (Hebrews 9:14 ) ; ” How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” If we understand the power of the “Blood” of Jesus we have no reason to have a guilty conscience or to have conscientiousness of past sin any longer once we have received Jesus as our Lord and Savior. And we have no reason to try and do good works to receive our salvation. He’s already paid the price in full for us, just receive it!

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father, Most High God, thank You for reconciling me to You through the “Blood ” of Jesus. Thank You Lord for the powerful cleansing power of His Holy Blood, able to wash me “white as snow”. Thank You also Lord for purging my conscience of dead works and of a sin nature. I thank You Father that I am now the righteousness of You in and through Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ name I give You ALL Glory and Honor forevermore.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Thursday August 13, 2020

Competent, Able Ministers

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2 Corinthians 3:6 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE(s)…
Are you a competent able minister, ALL Christians should be. A new covenant, God willingly entered into a new agreement with us, His creatures, He sealed it with the blood of His “First Born” Son, Jesus, and He sent the Holy Spirit to give us the power to live the life of this new covenant. In this new covenant we are to be ministers (servants & workers) of the Spirit not the letter (the Law, the Ten Commandments). God has made a covenant of love and grace and mercy with us. The Almighty has then turned around and made us worthy and competent to share that covenant with others. No wonder it is life-giving: it brings life to us and through us by His Love and the power of His Spirit!

MY PRAYER…
Father, I thank You for Your Word. God, thank You for Your Love and grace that has saved me from sin and has redeemed me from the law of sin and death. Thank You for sending Your Love gift of Your Son and the gift of Your Holy Spirit so that I can live with You in a covenant of life, grace, mercy, and love. While I confess my weaknesses, I also promise You that I will live to honor Your sacrifice, love and covenant; trusting that You will empower me, by Your Holy Spirit, to be what You are calling me to be. Because I know that of myself, I can do nothing.
In Jesus name I pray.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Wednesday August 12, 2020

Christ died for the ungodly

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8 New King James Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Notice it says Christ died for the ungodly, that’s not just the Christians, that’s everyone! He died for those of the world that had not yet received the gift of Grace from God. Jesus didn’t die for us because He had no choice, He died for us because He loved us beyond our comprehension and our own knowledge. Jesus died for us, but not because He had some high hopes for who we are or what we would be. No, He died for us because He knew exactly who we are and what we would be without Him. But praise be to God, we are now God’s righteousness in Him, because He took our sin and gave us God’s grace (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).

MY PRAYER…
Holy Father God, thank You for Jesus, my Savior. No words are adequate to express my love and devotion to You for such an incredible gift! The best I can offer is to present myself a living sacrifice unto You. Father take this earthly vessel and by Your Holy Spirit and power change me into a vessel of honor, one that You can use and flow through to touch Your people. Father, I ask in Jesus name that You continue to use me to Your Glory. Through Jesus I give and live my thanks to You.
Amen

TODAY’S MANNA for Tuesday August 11, 2020

God’s Precious Grace

In Christ we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
Ephesians 1:7 New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY’S VERSE…
Forgiveness. What a sweet, priceless and precious gift. What we could NOT fix, make right, make up, or pay for; what was impossible for man, God did for us through Jesus. With Him each day is a fresh start, the past is gone, forgotten, blotted out. “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”, Psalm 103:12 But what a cost to God to achieve that forgiveness, His Son had to became our sacrificial lamb. He placed Himself upon the altar of God in our place. The question is: “Have you received that Grace?” It is a gift and MUST be received, you can chose not to receive you know. Many have not chosen to receive this most Precious Gift from God.

MY PRAYER…
Thank You, Father, for the anguish that it cost You to forgive my sins by the blood of Your Son. Thank You that You were willing to make a way where there was no way. Thank You for giving You’re best. I pledge today that I will not take lightly the cost of my sin and will live in appreciation of Your grace. Lord strengthen me by Your Holy Spirit that I may be able to live the way You would have me to live. Through Jesus, who sacrificed all for my salvation I pray.
Amen
